myspace is dead but i hate facebook, really.

Money to be made, but tough since it's so difficult to get fresh active users.

Kinda like myspace, it keeps on trying.

What's kinda funny is that most of the complaints about myspace that facebook and it's users used to get people to bail on myspace, are now worse on facebook than they ever were on myspace. lol.

The biggest problem myspace has to contend with is image. As long as people see myspace as uncool (which is pretty much the case now), it doesn't matter how much it changes the look and feel, features, and anything else it keeps trying to change. Until it can do something to deal with that uncool factor it's going to just keep languishing. Unless it fixes that then the problem for people still using it those people will continue having trouble finding fresh active users.

From the sounds of this thread and the look of the place people who make money off Myspace have the store to themselves!

The layout changes were a game breaker.

And as all social networks, it doesn't last forever.

theres always people going to using myspace, its just not as popular as it once was.

In my honest oppinion, i think Myspace is dead now and its moved to the whole music band scene for young artistis....

All of the big hitters have moved their marketing to FaceBook, so MySpace is now like the Bing Search Engine, way behind the big boys so ignored by them too.

The fact is anyone who is still using MySpace as a USER is clinging on to what they know and love despite the obvious crumbling world around them.
Appeal to their nature. Change your marketing to more personal "Do you want to keep MySpace going" or "help us revitalize MySpace" as a heading for whatever you are plugging and I assure you you will get more clicks than you can imagine.

Remember a stable business is the one that can adapt the quickest to a changing environment.

I think myspace is not dead

I have service for Myspace accounts so myspace is not dead

no doubt ms is dead.

With every tv and radio station saying "like us on FB," "follow us on twitter," people have somewhat forgotten MS. FB's in the top 10 at alexa, whereas MS is somewhere in th top 50; still more than the millions of other sites, but not where it once was.

i havent loged into myspace in years...

there will always be ways to make money on it as long as it's a top 100 site

MS is dead, I have some Ent accounts on there, and after checking recently I noticed they changed the whole a thing up, now it's junky and confusing, I guess for music folks it's cool, but really I think it's just a waste of time and space. Don't shoot me just my opinion.

Myspace killed themselves. Should have made it into a place to truly discover new music by giving bands incentives and their own stores and It could have took itunes. Sad mess.

MS is not really dead yet but not worthy of a dedicated sub-forum at BHW, just saying :P

I don't use MS to make money per se. It is a form of referral for me, as I have gotten traffic from this site.
