80k visits per day to myspace...

I have a profile which is on the myspace top visited list and brings in about 80k people per day. Is it possible to monetize this?.

if you really get that many visits, then yes - figure out what you 'niche' is (who visits your site and why) give them a problem that you "have", that they probably have also, and then the solution is your product whether that be clickbank or CPA... if it is a music site - ringtone offers pay pretty damn good... I got like $15/pin submit with my cpa company - good money!

Btw, when I say i am getting 80k visitors per day i am talking about just looking at the profile view number - is this number accurate?.

It originally got the traffic from a webmaster friend of mine putting the myspace link on a johnny depp fan page and people from the fan page thought I was in the movie.

I am not sure how long the traffic will last but it seems to be self perpetuating at the moment.

yes u can monetize this easily. however if u r getting that many views, how come u only have 3150 friends. it doesnt add up buddy

Well, even if he only has 3150 friends, people are still searching for the certain genre of music. They may not be his friends, but people sill want to hear the music.

The views only spiked in the last two weeks. However I installed sitemeter on the page and its only showing 30 or so views per day. Im not really sure whats going on. It could be someone playing a joke on me and sending me junk traffic.

I mainly post on this forum because I am in the music business. He is definitely inflating his plays/views. He only has 800 comments. It's just not proportionate. His profile photo only has one comment.

Don't even argue, I know the music MySpace business.

EDIT: If the traffic is real then put your music on iTunes. You will bank. But it's not real.

if you really get 80 k views from myspace ,just put this tracker (myspacetracker.us) and post the screenshots from the tracker so everybody can can see if you really have that much traffic or not , i'll give you some hits from MS profiles on a specific dates to see the result from your account (everybody can do that of course )
