Journey to 100 Sales in July using Clickbank / SEO Jacking

Pretty fed up of seeing all the "I have tried everyting and can't seem to make money - please show me how" threads on this site, so figured I would just make a journey thread so I could link to it whenever I see a post like that in future. Assuming of course, I make this a success.

Been here a few years now and make my money using several methods. My speciality is writing and have written plenty of ebooks on Amazon etc, will be launching one on CB next month as a Vendor package but until then, I have a month free to do this and earn some extra recurring income. I am not an expert at building websites, SEO or any crap like that, I usually buy my traffic. I have done this before, about 2 years ago but went out and got a job before it really took off. I do still get recurring income from that site to this day.

• The method I will be using is SEO-Jacking. If you don't know what it is use the search function at the top left of your screen.
• I will not be paying for any traffic / Advertising during this month. Everything will be done my me.
• I have already built the website a couple of weeks ago and made a few sales. I did it to make a point in Meatheads "$100 a day for noobs thread" so figured I would build on it. Go look at that thread for my comments on what I did.
• The website is built in wordpress with about 10 pages, 6 of which are reviews in Womens Weight Loss niche on Clickbank. This is the most saturated niche on Clickbank so will be tough. I will add 2-3 pages each week.
• The target is 100 sales in July, so roughly $100 a day on average.
• Website is currently getting about 50 uniques a day already from the commenting work I did when I set it up.

July 1st to do list:

• 50 comments minimum blogs / news etc using google.
• Set up as many Forum accounts in the niche as possible
• Tweak the front page of my site so I have a "Current Best Programs" on the widget sidebar, which can link to the top reviews on my site.
• Fake Facebook accounts, Site Fan Page and Twitter Account are already set up so need to use them. Never really used Facebook or Twitter as a platform for driving traffic so this will be a learning curve for me.

the good thing about seo jacking is you can do it even manually and you don't have to spend a penny
You just have to know where and when to seo jack

Day 1 Recap

Had a problem with Hostgator yesterday, my site was down or so slow to load it was redic for about 4 hours which sucked. I am sure my visitors would have been way higher because for those hours I got practically none. OK, that's the negativity done with, time for the positives.

91 uniques is a step in the right direction. 1 Sale from 14 Real Hops is a bonus too. I say "Real" because I don't track hops through clickbank - their system is always way higher hops count wise than it should be. Using Pretty Links in WP I can see whether a hop has been generated by a real click by looking at the "Referrer" column - no referrering page = not real. I assume these are bots / spiders that cause this anomoly. I can then just filter them out by IP - including my own IP, so it doesn't register my affiliate link tests and get a true count.

I did everything on my list to do, plus I was messing with the FB Fan Page, reading up and learning what works with tweets etc. This is pretty cool! I am learning about social Media within IM and little tricks and skills to do with it, so even if I get nowhere near target in 30 days - I will learn a great deal. In my experience thinking like this is imperitive to success so I find positives wherever I can. Too many people here complain and bitch anout what didn't work when they have really learned something invaluable - experience! I am a real believer that successful people are the guys and girls who have failed the most.

I am assuming when it comes to FB you just have to be social within your niche, commenting on other fan pages and sharing etc so that's what I am doing. 5 of my visitors yesterday were from FB. I've linked FB to Twitter too so whatever I post there tweets by itself. If anyone has any tips on how to broaden my reach with social media I am all ears - just bear in mind the rules - I cannot spend anything on the project this month.

So, July 2nd to do:

• Another 50 comments on Blogs etc.
• Start building up rep on forums (I have reg at 15 within the niche). Not dropping links in yet, building my reputation on them for a week before I start linking in threads and sigs. This should drastically cut down on insta-bans.
• Find a keyword and write a 500-1000 word article
• Find a prduct within niche with a Grav of 10-45 and do a 1500 word review. Lower grav products tend to convert better than higher ones. Although, my sale yesterday was from the highest grav on CB!

Day 2 Recap

Uniques: 146 (237)
Hops: 10 (24)
Sales: 0 (1)
Dollars: $0 ($32.72)

No sales, but uniques increased 50%. Hops were down because I changed the layout of my page yesterday to split-test. Looks like it didn't work so I reverted back to the old design. Really need to get the hop percentage up to 20% if I stand a chance of doing this.

July 3rd to do:

Just plenty of posting and bulding up forum images. Hopefully get over 200 uniques.

Do you know of any scripts that can help with "filtering" galerts? i.e. getting rid of the crap, sites you know you can't post to anyway etc etc. Was working on one for myself but whenever I start coding stuff, I'm not actually building/promoting stuff.

Iv'e tried this method long time ago, however it didn't worked out for me because I was lazy, gonna try it again because of this post ! Subscribed!

As I understand "SEO-Jacking" is WP plugin created in WSO, that helps you optimize the page and rank your site in 3 minutes on position 2,3 and 4?

I hope "SEO-Jacking" is something different in this journey!

You don't need g-alerts any more. You can do this from the google homepage.

Just type your keyword in quotes, then click search tools and filter to the last 24 hours.

Here's what I am doing, just updating the method a little.

Day 3 Recap

Uniques: 86 (323)
Hops: 2 (26)
Sales: 0 (1)
Dollars: $0 ($32.72)

Didn't do much commenting yesterday as I was writing reviews. Now have 8 reviews (1500 words+ each) on the site. This obviously had an effect on unique views and hops as a result. I also rearranged the home page so it was more aesthetically pleasing.

I also spent a lot of time getting used to Twitter. I don't know whether this is against the rules, but I looked at one of the biggest accounts in my niche and followed a bunch of their followers, making sure I followed real people if poss. All were women, all had a photo and cover and a bio. Followed about 800 and woke up this morning to nearly 200 who had followed me back. I will continue to post tweets, motivational/funny memes etc each day, and slip one in ten tweet in as a link to a review on my site. Seems to work as I got some visits this morning from one tweet. I'll gradually unfollow those who didn't follow me over the next 5-7 days, adding 50-100 more each day to not spark suspicion within Twitter - they must frown upon this so I have to be careful not to get banned.

July 4th to do:

• More commenting, a lot more.
  Really have to get my ass in gear and post comments and links on blogs/news/forums/Yahoo answers etc, basically everywhere I can. In order to succeed in this journey I have to raise my views per day to at least 2k by the end of the month. If I am only going to get a 10% real hop rate, I will need a rapid increase in traffic at some stage in the month in order to get the sales per day required.
• Post about 9 tweets with some funny shit (fat guys waiting for mcdonalds to open at 5am, with a caption "some people go to the gym at 5am, others..."), or something like that. Then I'll do a tweet with a link to a review on my site at the end of the day.
• Try and come up with a way to increase hop rate. Might leve this for a few days though, concentrate on comments instead and see how I fair for a few days.
