When sending a commercial message or a message that has the following attributes

-has a link
-is for profit

your recipient is required to have to have opted in some way. Some examples include texting your code, entering their number on your website, or express written consent in the form of mail or email.

The same rules don't apply for informative messages or public service announcements.

Also like email, always have a way for people to opt out from receiving future messages such as a STOP reply.

Mobile web design

Mobile web design is still a relatively sweet market in comparison to normal web design. The main keyword:

is competitive, but for many of us, very doable. If you try to get in earlier you won't have to end up being the cold caller when the market saturates. Currently there are people offering $1,000-$7,000 for normal html design to mobile design. You can easily offer a cheaper price or if you'd like, you can just offer the same price and see what kind of money rolls into your bank account.

this is the actual best practice guidelines for sms content for the USA - it was updated around March this year and is used by all the major cell phone companies over here - its published by the Mobile Marketing Association - just the 118 pages! lol if your in a different country then you may need to find one thats appropriate for your area.

it gives good information - regarding the use of STOP keywords and what you can and cant sent via a SMS message...

although its 118 pages if your setting up any type of mobile marketing business and you intend to offer bulk SMS as a service to your clients its worth reading as i don't think pleading ignorance holds up to well in a court of law!

We are buying 3rd party lists (Single Opt-in), no auto-number generators. Problem since no double-opt-in??

With our provider (twilio) it costs the user money (reply SMS) to unsubscribe. Problem??

What does my disclaimer have to look like in the SMS? I cannot include company name, physical address, opt-out link, opt-out instructions, etc, line in a classic marketing email because of 160 Char Limit!

I read that US Providers don't allow marketing message from NON-Short Code numbers. Is sending from a long code against the law or just against their (irrelevant) policies?

Typically if you include the word stop at the end of the message and you actually remove them you wont encounter issues.

And the email-to-sms marketing refers to mobile marketing ?

We all use mobile and go to mobile markets must your sim card tell you about sms and other information.

Has anyone used smartsender successfully. I downloaded it but it gives generic exception.
