I am normally not much of a forum poster. I don't like sharing too many intimate details about my business either. However, I decided to make an exception.

See, this week, or at the very max by next tuesday, I am launching a new membership site in a market I'm in. And I set my goal pretty high. I want to have 300 paying members by the end of this month, paying $27 every single month. (will be testing diferent prices btw)

I will NOT reveal any intimate details about my market nor my product. But I will talk about my promotional methods.

So first I'll tell you why I am doing this:

The reason why is simple; I need to keep myself motivated.

Motivation has been a real issue the past year. Only since recently I noticed it coming back again. And it's especially there when I have an obligation to keep. Like when more people know my goals... or simply when I'm working together on projects with other people. This keeps me on-target, focused and motivated.

In this way I am going to keep myself motivated. Basically because I am getting the word out in a bigger way. Which is good for me.

I'm also documenting everything. Which helps me later on. So I can avoid mistakes if I make any simply by looking up any of the updates I posted here.

I have one unfair advantage though. Something I can already leverage:

My list of subscribers.

Listbuilding is the most important thing. And in any online business, the closest thing to stability you can get.

Now here's what I'm starting out with:

- My salesletter. I wrote it myself. I wouldn't trust anyone to write copy for me. Unless you are getting exceptional results and can proof it. Which most can't.
- I wrote about 2 months of email copy. Every day 1 email selling my membership.
- I set-up a prelaunch process. I am using email marketing only for this process. It's going to be a test.
- 1 month of content done. It are actually easy to create audios. So content will never be an issue for me
- Profits Theme. I will be using that to handle my membership. If anyone has a better suggestion... I'm all open to suggestions. But I got this... and I like using what I got.

I will price it at $4,95 trial for 7 days... and then $27 every 30 days. I would give it away for free... but Clickbank doesn't allow that.

My guess is that I can get 200 members from my own list. That actually stick.

So here's what I'll be doing:

- First I'm promoting to my own list.
- Second, when I know my metrics... I'll be approaching joint venture partners. To promote it for me.
- Third stage will be Adwords advertising. My business will be unique as I can get people in from different entry points. Plus I can have different types of memberships that will be tailored to different types of people. So I can scale the Adwords part up, pretty quickly.
- Fourth, I'll hire people to do SEO for me. And extend my reach even more.
- And finally I'll be looking at offline advertising. Think direct mail, etc.

Here is the progress I envision:

- After Phase 1, I should have 200 members. Phase 1 will take a max of 2 weeks.
- After Phase 2, I should have at least 400 paying members. In fact, 1 of my joint venture partners I have in mind can easily make 200+ sales in a matter of days. If I can mobilize even 3 to 5 of the partners I got in mind... I'm probably looking at 600+ members already. Phase 2 will take 1.5 months initially. But really is an ongoing process from that point on.
- After Phase 3, I should be feeding this business with a steady stream of at least 100 members a month after the first month. Which will steadily go up.
- Phase 4 is a bit unpredictable. But that should eventually feed my business with another 100 members, every month at the very least. Phase 4 is, again, an ongoing process.
- Finally, Phase 5... that should be the biggie. I got lots of lists I can target for this. And when my salesletter performs well... the only way I can control growth is by controlling the amount of letters I send out every month. This will be an ongoing process, too.

The first 4 phases should give me 1000 members after 4 months at the very least. That will be my aim.

What I know about this market, and especially considering the way I priced this membership, I am pretty sure stickrate will be high. And they'll stick for a longer period of time. 6 months on average at the very least.

If I take away any costs that I have (paying different people, etc) this membership should give me a steady stream of about $10K after 4 months. Probably more. But I like to be careful.

So here's what will happen next:

This week will be slow. As I'm still waiting to get accepted by clickbank. But either way, I will be updating if I have any updates.

The real magic will happen starting the minute I launch. Then I'll talk about figures, things I'm testing. Stuff that's working out... and stuff that isn't working out. And hope that I can help many people with that.

If you got ANY suggestions regarding membership software, scripts or plugins... I'd love to hear them.

Also, if the more experienced membership creators here have any suggestions on anything else (increasing stickrate, etc etc)... I'd love to hear them.

Either way, I hope this can help many people. Including myself.

Teoretically very good! I like especially paying Members part. I got 400 members in 1 day but the problem is not many (only 6) were paying. I hope you have very interesting product/service they really need. Careful with Adsence, they love "not to pay" for no reason!
