I'm really familiar with wordpress than any other CMS.

Also, does anyone know if WP wishlist creates login details for people who pay. If not, what membership software/plugin does that works with wordpress.

If you want to build a community website, then BoonEx Dolphin is the thing to use... otherwise you could use wordpress, it's easy to use!

I want to have more of a blog-post type content with embedded videos that I will host on my server. But I don't know how to make it so I have a little login field with password on the main page, and only paid users can log-in. I want it to be automated, where when they pay they automatically get log-in details via email and can view the content instantly.

Yes you can fully integrate WP Wishlist with paypal and a few other payment gateways. Basically full integration is where once someone pays, they get redirected to go choose their login details etc. You can also use other payment gateways if you do not like paypal but then you may have to use some manual input when they register.

Damn, I've been working on getting WP wishlist to work on my wordpress site. I set all the membership levels, made myself the lowest membership level for a test run, but I'm still able to view posts.

I'm also having problems integrating it with Clickbank, as I don't know how to change the product URLs at the bottom of the Clickbank integration page.

try to get a cms that could be customizable for later puposes...you might want to add new features...
so try to get cms with editable source codes...

Wordpress is so versatile there is a plugin or theme for everything or you could just have one creted to do what you want it too. I never leave home without it!

Most of the people prefer Wordpress just because it's easy to use. For me Joomla works better then any other tool. There is no rocket science for using Joomla so you can use it without having much problem and it can easily be expanded as there are thousands of plug-ins available for it. Joomla has also introduced Joom social which is specially designed for creating social/community websites.

i also think wordpress is best & easy handle & if there is any problem so many video also there

base on experience wordpress is easier joomla is easy but not recommended.. joomla are full of security holes compared to wordpress it is the favorite of hackers out there. check this out www dot joomlaexploit dot com and other relevant site where joomla is exploited on a daily basis

Wordpress works well and there are various membership themes that work amazing on this. Kajabi is pimp, but $$$

I have put Joomla on a lot of websites and have never had a Joomla installation hacked. Some very large organizations are using Joomla, and I have heard that the latest releases of Joomla are more secure. I have used Wordpress quite a bit too. I like the ping feature of blogging, but find it much easier to set-up menus, etc. in Joomla when I want more of a static site. If I want a blog I use Wordpress, but if I want more of a static website, I prefer Joomla.

Hi there.. why you don't just create a forum, you can see at this forum for example, it have a members area which is the only paid member can enter that section.. If you don't have money to buy vbulletin license, then phbb is good enough. Good luck mate..

My opinion is like above. If you dont like available design you can customize it!!

Drupal is great, if you can find programmer to configure for you, you can limit users by type, limit their access to varies content, or limited their action.

xeenastar is right, Drupal is a good choice for membership type sites if they are properly configured. There is good granular control over the content and users if you know what you are doing.
