You don't need to invest any money triple 7, the customer pays you then you buy the product then send to the customer. Do this on amazon or ebay

Hey ny, I don't use amazon as a dropshipper, I used other online stores to do it for me, by dropship i don't mean they will put your companys name on it...people dont pay attention anyway, they just rip open their package and happy that they got it.

ALmost all of them have a gift option to send to someone...you can usually just mark it before you submit the order online.

Ok there are people on here saying that they can't find any products to do this with and raising other questions about the strategy.

I have given you my screen shot on the previous page, showing my proof to you that it has been done, and quiet well.

As my finale I decided I would find a product for you guys. I did 3 minutes of research...3 minutes? Yes 3 minutes.

I found a product where you can make $30 a hit for each one: I'm sure amazon will wonder all of the sudden why they have sold out of these once everyone reads this.

This is the reverse engineered method by the way (LIST it on Ebay, Ship it from amazon)


step 1: found product on amazon to sell




step 2: Did a completed listings search on Ebay for the product





step 3: calculated costs after Ebay and Paypal Fees





Step 4: Made $30 for each one.

Sell 10 of these a week, $300 a week, that's one product, took 3 minutes to find.

isaiah i hear what you are saying and ive actually gone out looking for retailers... but amazon is the only one that overtly says they wont disclse a packing slip if you request it.

and all of the sites you have mentioned in this thread wont work.... buy.com doesn't offer a gift option, etc.

you must have really good dropshipping sources because i cant see this working with most sites.

Hey Ny, buy.com does offer a gift option, I've used them many times...you'll see it when your checking out..

I've never had a problem with me sending something from another site, it wont have a price on it and as long as people think they got a good deal they wont care either.


I've actually used all of the retailers that you've mentioned to ship my stuff...BB, CC, buy.com, all do gift receipts,

Go to shopping.com and put the product in that your looking for..it will give you some places with low prices, there will also be some no name companies too you can order from.

Most people don't know buy.com, so that's a good one to use, there's plenty out there though.

Hey brad, I've done with every major retailer, no concerns, they know that people ship to relatives etc, maybe if it's overseas you will just have to verify yourself one time with that card..if your in the US not a probl...i've even shipped overseas plenty of times it's never happened. I wrote earlier I bought over $30k for one smaller retailer and they just had me fax in my id so they have it on file. No worries.

As far as the upc codes, just do a search for the item your looking for on amazon, they will have an ASIN number, it's their unique code....you can just enter this instaed of the upc when entering your product....

Such as this guitar ASIN: B0002F4WFW you can search by that too...

Funny thing is if you do a search for that, there's only 1 seller, he's selling a used one for $280, guitar center has them brand new for $199...looks like a deal, list one for $300 see what happens...$100 profit a pop?

I've done this on ebay too, shipped to them from big retailers, I was a power seller with great feedback..I came to amazon because of no listing fees...better profit for me....so no my feedback never was bad...

Why doubt it when you have it tried it....I still wish you the best in whatever your working on though.

why are you doubting NY, you didn't see my screenshot on the page before? You should take a look its proven...i dont' understand why so many people are doubting this works when I've given you a screen shot?

And I just left a reply to Brad that I found a guitar on amazon, there is only 1 seller he's selling for 280, you can buy from guitarcenter brand new for 199...

its easy to doubt because of amazon fees and other factors that will make you have to list your product for considerably more than amazon's price.. so on DVD's your listing them for $10 more than the amazon price just to make a small profit.... and on big tickets items the amazon fee will kill your profit margin.... so youll have to list things way higher to make a profit... i could ramble on for days about why it seems like this isnt as profitable as you make it seem.... but i dont want to be the basher here... like everyone else all i can do is give it a try. thanks man!

I know there's a tool where you can see the average selling price of something on ebay...you can also go to mpire.com/research...haven't seen anything for amazon.....

Someone said "They won't care as they rip open the packaging" which is quite true.

Just to make this clear for myself, I go to Amazon and look up "Cool Camera" from Sorny. Amazon has it listed at 200. I find the cool camera on sale at best buy for 150. So I post it at amazon for 175, get paid and send it out?

I can list things all day long or find a better faster way, and put high end prices on them till I see a great sale on the net, lower the price abit and bank! You can list in all catagories forever! I've been with ebay for years and I love having a viable alternative other than 20 accounts and constant PP limits! I don't want to do that with Amazon either!

You can sell your stuff on half.com, ebay.com, amazon.com, buy.com, albiris.com, overstock.com, craigslist.com, ebid.com, ubid.com, barnes and nobles, that's just off the top of my head...

Im new here but:
I put 10 items on Amazon UK as a trial, not the cheapest but not too much competition. Sold 1 in 3 days so it can work.
1) Find a product , say a special price on a retail site. example £150.00 (inc shipping)
2) Add your profit you want to make say £40
3) REMEMBER to add the fees involved from Amazon max 20%
4) sell for £230
5) product cost you £150. you sell for £230. take off Amazon fees of approx £40. PROFIT £40 (I know its not accurate just a rough guide)
The main thing thats taking my time is getting products at a good price to start with, so that when you add to that price your not too overpriced on Amazon. Im still doing research on this and it will take a while before i take the plunge and list hundreds of items but i will soon.
The only other problem could be this new payment when shipped option Amazon are bringing in so its difficult to order high price items if you havent been paid yet.
The OP has been very helpful in spreading his knowledge on this subject and i thank him for giving me many ideas for this system!

Thank you for sharing as much as you have, I think everyone particularly appreciates the time you are giving to answering all of the questions here on the forum. Which brings me to my concern about "time". I am having trouble wrapping my small brain around the logistics of how to make this happen on the scale that you have shown. I don't doubt for a second what you have described, but in your example you used $15 per sale and 120 sales per day. Even if it only took 10 minutes each, to find and purchase 120 items to send out to customers that would take 20 hours. I don't sleep much, but if I tried to do this for 20 hours, eventually I would be dozing off at the keyboard and someone who ordered a digital camera would end up with a cordless drill.

The other part I don't quite get yet is when you speak of having 20,000 items in inventory, are you referring to 20,000 items being listed on amazon? Do you know what every item is or are you just uploading bulk upc's, in certain catagories, and then buying whatever you need to after the sale is made?

Some of those auction sites are scams. Do not forget when you say make 20 profit with that tv thing you have to take out probably more than 20 for fee's in Amazon. Did you forget that?

The reason i ask, is because if I could package my album with the next hot album, it would be worth it for me to make minimal money, but get my album sales up.....

In fact, in general, this would be a large breakthrough marketing tactic for anyone in any facet of art.

Any thoughts?

Amazon doesn't charge you fees when you buy from them..in the example I gave you were selling on ebay, once that sells after the ebay and paypal fees and after you buy it from amazon you are left with $20, there are no other fees involved. THere's no scam involved and is profitable

The whole theory is similar to this:

Let's say someone I know want s to buy a TV and doesnt want to spend more than $200
I tell him ok I'll see if I can find you one
I find the one he wants at Target for $150
I sell him the tv for $200 and make $50

Buy low, sell High, stock market theory

Hey Mr Pickel...well I use a distributor now you sends me all of the upc's on a spread sheet....

But when I started out, it's quiet the process: I used a scraper scripted to scrap all of the upc codes, price and product for what I was looking for, then I came up with a formula that would adjust to a certain profit percentage I wanted with amazons fees adjusted.

For now just start small until you get the hang of it, you don't need thousands listed to make money:

As I showed you in the example of the TV -that's $20 a pop there
Or the example of the guitar I showed brad $50 a pop
It's funny because he was asking me about finding the upc on guitar center
I clicked on the 1st guitar I seen
Put it into amazon..only one seller and it was used for 280
Buy it brand new for 199.

Find some products where you can make $20-$50 off of each...
Just put around 100 up to start
If you only sold 10 a week, that's between $800-$2000 for not that much work, not much but it's a start

I tried this and have made some money. I was only doing a trial run and put up 50 items.

After about 4 days of this I've got 5 sales, totaling $240 profit.
