where you call your self a SEO or Backlink guru

Go to some noob business forums and find
spots where you can talk on SEO threads
without looking spammy.

Make sure your sig link says this...

When they get to your site their should be a little
paragraph about $1 dollar PR 5, 6, and 7 backlinks

like your site. Backlinks are like popularity votes in

90% of them have PR 5, 6, and 7. When you submit
a piece of software to them they give you a backlink!

While I'm not familiar with creating software for backlinks - I only came across that recently. I've gotten a few people to pay for backlinks and I just had it outsourced...dammit, why do I think so small? This thread slapped me pretty good.

You know I was just thinking the exact same thing.

Never had a problem pointing the links to
main pages. Product page = home page of site.

Make sure you put your target keywords in
the "company name" slot. Thats the part that
they link to you with (anchor text).

Guys $297 is dirt cheap and you can move up
to double that with some testimonials and
case studies easily. I know companies that
charge $150/hour for this stuff.

Stop thinking about it and just do it

Do they then go to the homepage of the client's site and download product from there (so you redo their home page so it then has download link)?? This sounds good , I am just trying to understand more how it works. Or are they downloading it from the software site and people just see a link in order to read description further at the site?

Also for the non-techies would making a zip file that has a pdf of interest work or does it have to be software?

It has to be a .exe you can use conduit.com to make a toolbar in about 20 minutes

We don't care about the software or who downloads it or really even what it does
all we care about is that the software site with high PR gives us a backlink.

It's easy to check that this method doesn't work.

Take any screensavers website, say one has 100 screensavers, if it gets 300 links per screensaver with that method, it should get 300 x 100 = 30,000 backlinks, right?
Good luck to find such website with so many backlinks, it just doesn't work like that.

I know it because I have a screensavers website, with around 100 screensavers, all submitted through 2 different automatic Pad submitters, each one to more than 1000 websites, and after one year, I can count 600 backlinks in yahoo and maybe a dozain in google. Even if that doesn't represent the full list of backlinks, I'm far from the 100,000 backlinks I was expecting

I get my backlinks simply by leaving comments on high pr blogs and it doesn't take many to get ranked high. It's more of Quality than Quantity. Plus it's free.

2) In terms of using conduit.. what are popular types of toolbars. I never use any except for googles so am not sure what they are all about (but as you said it really doesn't matter if someone downloads it anyway I guess...)

3) Oops one more- do you then put their url within the toolbar too in case people do use it?

It's just a backlink - your homepage stays normal - create whatever kind of toolbar you want. usually I fill mine with related sites (affiliate links) - I connect their URL to the toolbar's logo.

I'll do another in depth post on how I use these toolbars for affiliate marketing

I don't know why people are so critical of his method. It is indeed excellent idea. I tried it for one of my sites (site is a reputed site) and got lot of backlinks and a good increase in SERP.
BTW I tried much before reading the post and I indeed created a valuable software.
In a typical market a good link costs 10-25$. I got may be 100 links using this method, whats there to complaint about.

i was at a conference last year and got talking to an SEO guy, and he had mentioned about the PADsite and i simply couldnt get my head around how to create the software -or how it could help you promote your site

but i followed through with the conduit site and also saw that guy develop the whois firefox extension i certainly see the potential to using .exes and submitting them to high ranking sites...

will give it a go and see how it goes

You could easily do the exact same thing with the combination of SEO Elite and PRstorm.

Find some good proxies, and viola! Your very own SEO business!

sorry man, didn't mean to be harsh on you, but please answer to my question, if it works so well, why screensavers sites don't have 100,000 backlinks or more?

BTW, about the toolbar thing, I used softomate (paid $75), a toolbar creator and put a google search box with my adsense code. I bundled it with my screensavers and made at least 20x the price I paid! I preferred it to conduit because you own the toolbar, whatever you put on it, it's money only for you.

I went to CJ and created a list of aff text links, created a php file that rotated the links (displaying one different link per day) and displayed it inside the toolbar, made me some additional $$$

Wait so I dont even need to host the actual download on my webpage? I am sorry if this has been answered I am just kind of confused.

Do a search for the 30min*ute backlinks course on here. I found a better one on here that came bundled with something else called 3step traffic system or something. It's video tutorials of this method and it's good.

the 30min course covers everything using conduit and trial/demo software to submit your pad if you want a full blown drawn out method. Only drawback imo is that the author videos are too long because she videos and explains everything, like how to install a program, how to enter you name here, enter your name there, too many little details - but it's very thorough on the other hand.

They don't have billions of backlinks because maybe they don't know about submitting to software sites? Maybe they only submitted once? Maybe they are a brand new site?

Your best bet is to just pick up a cheap hosting account, I think GoDaddy has em starting at 3.99 or where ever you feel is best. I wouldn't go with free hosting though.

You don't necessarily sell only 297 backlinks for $297 I believe. You're placing a value of $1 per link for your customer, that value could be whatever you decide it to be. Many SEO companies will only submit to something gay like 50 directories for $40 bucks - that doesn't even mean that your site will get accepted and given a link. You can do this on your own with a submitter - but it's so damn tedious!

If you use software like PromoSoft, you can submit to over 800 sites on autopilot, which should hopefully get you at least 297 backlinks. I just picked up PromoSoft for a year, no sense in trying to find a crack, I been at it for almost a week.

All you basically need from your client is just their URL and whatever keyword they want to rank for. All you're looking to do is give them those backlinks by creating software and submitting them to software directories.

I personally wouldn't "tell" them what keyword to go for, just let them pick - and if they want more input from you, you can also charge an extra fee for "consultation" if that's up your alley.
