How many of you are making money making (or having made) iphone apps?
I am trying to figure out how to distrubute. I think i saw the enrollment on apple site, but is it really going to cost me $100 a YEAR to be able to submit apps? Also, does it take them awhile to verify or accept your application or is it instant? basically I need an application in the store by friday, sat the latest. possible?

anyone? so no one is making money with iphone apps? hear its where the money's at ;)

You'll never get it in the store in a week. From what I hear it takes many weeks to get approved.

thats lame. and discouraging lol.

yeah i know a guy making a fotune with APPS he has a team creating a new one every few days and charging low fee for them

I started making iphone apps in November 08. Brings me in about $300 a day. Its a great way to go if:

1) You have tons of patience since apple always gives you a hard time
2) Know how to code Coca and have have an iphone and a mac
3) Willing to advertise and commit to each app you make.
4) Play by the rules! Apple has zero tolerance for anything fishy. And all apps are publicly rated by their consumers so quality product is also important.

All in all it takes about 1 month of developer set up to get rolling in the start. After that its anywhere between 1 - 2 week wait for your app to launch.

Hope this helps,

yeah, always wanted to code iphone apps, like when i got my winmobo phone i want to code them, too bad i need to learn coca for iphone and i don't have a mac =(

yeah, not about big money but if you can develop something useful and sell them @.99 each you can atleast make some money

just imagine 1% of the user puchase it from you;)

Oh yeah for sure, if you have a hit then pack your bags and go to Disney land.

The trick is to try to stay one step ahead of the competition. You would be surprised how many developers are all on the same wave length... if you can think one step ahead you're golden.

Also, apple takes a 30% cut. So really you only make 70 cents off the dollar.
