as the title says this is basically an addon to ernesthemingway's Auto Blogs on CRACKS thread.
After reading his thread I immediatelly tried to use Reddit for traffic generation, because I already owned several entertainment autoblogs for which said method might work well I thought.
And surely enough it did work and every link I submitted brought in somewhere between 50 and 1000 unique visitors (depending on the quality of the post). The problem however was: This is NOT AUTOMATED, so it kinda defeated the purpose of my autoblogs.
Here's the (partial) solution I came up with:
I now use several Onlywire accounts together with a Wordpress plugin (written by me) that auto-submits all posts to Onlywire.
In order for you to understand better, here is a step by step guide:
What you need:
An autoblog that is "social bookmarkable". That means it should either autopost (cool/funny/amazing....) Youtube videos or funny pictures via WP-o-matic. Some stuff like that anyways, just have a look at Reddit to learn what content is popular there.
To Do:
1. Sign up for 1 to 5 Onlywire accounts and verify them.
2. Register to social bookmarking websites. The bookmarking sites I recommend are:
- Reddit
- Digg
- Mixx
- Delicious
- Propeller
- Stumbleupon
- Blinklist
- Diigo
To create the accounts you might want to use some kind of software, i.e. SEnuke which you can find on BHW. If you already have accounts at these sites you can of course skip this step and use them instead.
Note: You will need a unique set of bookmarking accounts for each Onlywire account!
3. Add your social bookmarking accounts to Onlywire (under "Set Up Your Bookmarking Sites").
4. Download and install the Onlywire Multi Autosubmitter plugin on your weblog(s). Go to the plugin's options page and enter your Onlywire account data.
5. That's it! Your posts will now be submitted automatically to all social bookmarking websites you set up on Onlywire.
Important: For some sites, like Reddit and Digg, you will have to finish the submission manually by entering the Captcha in your Onlywire account. To do this you have to log in to your Onlywire account(s) regularly and finish the submissions...
This means this method is still not 100% automated, but it will save very much work in the long run anyways.
TIP: outsource the finalization process in Onlywire if the method is working for you!! This way you can reach 100% automation.
Some other things:
Why several Onlywire accounts?
It looks very suspicious when you only submit posts from one website to your social bookmarking accounts - so they might get banned quickly. By using several Onlywire accounts + bookmarking accounts you can reduce this risk.
If you post very many new posts per day....
...reduce the chance to submit to Onlywire in the Onlywire WP plugin's options page to prevent your bookmarking accounts from getting banned.
How I do it:
I use the same 5 Onlywire accounts (+ unique social bookmarking accounts) on several autoblogs with a submission chance of about 50 to 70%. This worked well for me and further decreases the chance to get banned.
