Hey BHW,

I have a unique problem I have never faced with PayPal before. I'll try to make this brief.

Last Thursday: I receive an email stating my PayPal account has been limited and I need to provide more information about the shipping of my products. So, I fill out their 3 question BS and just basically say how I don't ship anything because its a computer repair service and things are done on site. I receive an email back later that night saying I received payments from Hong Kong & all over the U.K. and then withdraw money in my state (USA). I then replied to that email stating we also provide computer repair services, as well as remote consultation, and we have no website simply because we like to keep our customer base low and want everything done via word of mouth.

And I still have not heard back from them. I have sent them SEVERAL emails to all of the email addresses PaypalSucks.com recommends, as well as the one they sent me their reasoning from. I still have not heard a response even after 3 consecutive emails, and stating I would like a response in 24 hours in the final one, which I did not get.

Should I call them? Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.

***And if anyone can offer legitimate advice that works and gets my PayPal account unlocked, I will gladly send you $25 right away.

I see, well is there anything I should do now? They still have not yet responded in any way, saying my account is closed or anything like that.

I'm not sure, but from the amount of threads here on bhw, paypal may have done a mass banning right before the weekend. I woke up to my email friday morning.

Yeah, well I'm not doing any CS'ing or anything either with this account. Just selling digital products :/

eMailing them is useless, unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way. You should definitely call them.

Here is there toll free number in case you don't have it: 1-888-221-1161

Thanks man, just called them. I have the invoices taken care of. Now they want payment information about the types of payments I intend to process, what should I say? Digital products? And maybe ebay in the future?

Say that for sure. And whatever you do, if the ban is permanent, don't start another one under the same name. If you do start another one, find a girlfriend or something and ask if you can do it under their name, because after the first time there's a SSN submit as well.

drjay, just say you're selling "Digital Products" and "Online Services" when you call them, that should get the problem resolved.

You will have to call them back at least three times, ask for a supervisor. Sometimes threatening them with a lawsuit also works.
