I've gotten PM'd a lot the past few days about how to get a good amount of referrals through GDI. This may be old news to some of you, but to the newer people this will be helpful. These are the same tactics I use and its helped me build an excellent downline of referrals.

My best ways to get signups for GDI is:

1. Myspace - Build a profile dedicated to GDI. You should have some information maybe a faq section for the millions of potential people on Myspace. Set yourself up with a program for adding friends (ex. Friend Blaster) You can do it manually, but that will take quite some time. Be sure to target people with thousands of friends. There are tons of wanna-be entrepreneurs on Myspace, so its not hard to pick up fresh meat.

2. Craigslist/Backpage - Throw a few ads out there telling people that they can have a website with hosting and a domain name for $10 a month and people will definitely respond. You can fill them in later on about how they can make money with GDI. People hear "make money if you sign up" and instantly think its some kind of scam. Just target people who want to build a website. How you set up the ad and how eye catching it is depends on you. I recommend making your ad in an image format to keep CL from taking down your post for blacklisted words.

3. YouTube - Definitely worth looking into. GDI has plenty of videos you can rip from the site and put on YT. Just make sure its not a long video or else it wont get accepted. It doesn't even have to be a GDI video... get a program that allows you to watermark your vids. Once you do that go watermark all of your uploaded videos with your GDI url. When people see your video.. they know where to go.

4. Traffic Exchange - Be sure to pick a good one. Theres a lot of shady TE's out there. Google is your friend to find one.

5. Blog about it! - With Seo and Wordpress you can get your blog on the first page of Googles search result. Just make sure your content is unique and not the same as some other affiliate whos looking to get referrals as well. Building a better mousetrap to attract referrals is key!

I remember GDI being my first shot at making money on the internet and it never worked out for me. Then again that was a few years ago, maybe with what I know now I could go back and make it worth some change.

GDI was the first program for me that I tried when I was brand spanking new to IM, I had a few sign-ups here and there but one day I decided I was going to mass email this list that I got from another site, it had over 300K of email addys, I loaded it up in my Aweber AR, and I got some more leads and thought I hit the gold mine, then...it all came tumbling down some of the leads were from AOL and started whining asking about how I got their emails and that I was spamming them and I got so petrified of the can spam act that I closed my Aweber account and stop promoting GDI altogether. lol (what a noob).

I wish I knew what I know now, I would be atop of the GDI leaderboard, I have to many other ways to make a profit online to fool with GDI anymore, it is a sound business though and will get alot of people interested if marketed properly.

Yikes lol. Damn that "can't" spam act! Don't get me wrong the spam act is a good thing as well. Without it your inbox would recieve 50000 spam ads a day and that would make having an email addy pointless. Its all about jumping through the right hoops in the marketing world.

The best way to get referrals for Global Domains International - GDI - is to get into some system.

There are several systems that you can use to promote GDI and to get referrals for it.

I am using one of them, using the Dream Team Formula system - a Profit Sharing Marketing system - that is placing GDI referrals in the new member's downline for free, 5 levels deep. That is how the GDI downline is constantly growing. With this system, your entire upline is promoting your link, till you get your first referrals, to help you have a better start. You might have right about that, but they do not offer a residual monthly income.

That is what I like the most about GDI, the residual monthly payment. I mean, you work a lot at the beginning and you get paid month after month for the same amount of work you have previously done.

With other programs, when you are not working you are not getting paid...

All MLMs have that structure, as does the program I mentioned for its domain service vendors, it's not unique to GDI. There's no need to be coming out of pocket each month to achieve the same long term residual money. The majority of those paying the fee do not see the net income. GDI is milking and gouging its marketers and treating them as part of (or no different from) the customer base. Nothing's wrong with passive earnings, just drop the needless cashflow liability.

Yes it is possible, but you will not profit from your upline and you have to pay a monthly commission. If you join when you are already a GDI member your downline only profits of the DreamTeamFormula. So Your link will not be promoted by your upline and your downline will not grow.

I had the same problem, I was already a member at GDI, but I only had 2 people under me so I just decided to join under artagnan1978 and to grow my downline using DreamTeamFormula.

For me it was worth the risk artagnan1978 has helped me a lot, but I do not know how many people you have in your downline, so think about it.

I'd like to join this dream team formula, if you teach me to grow the number of referrals + promoting my link I think it has great value. I have been thinking about mlm a lot in these days. I wondered yesterday into googled thread on how to get leads that made me very annoyed. The one posting said the best place to start is with friends and family. That was a completely lousy unvaluable tip, as 1. not all have that many friends interested in such, 2. It can easily be bad for your personal life filled with envy or some kind of competition that lead to an unfriendly atmosphere, I'm just sayin'

I'm thinking what's the best way to get out to many people at a time, thinking twitter and myspace and perhaps facebook, could it be done?

about this "dream team system" some of the people in this thread talk about.
Its a little bit above 200$ a month as I read it, and that sound a little expencive to me, but your upline is helping you getting referrals atleast in the beginning as I understand it, which is positive. However I wanna prepare myself before going into this, as this is a substantial amount of money to use on a monthly bases. If you get it all set up, I think it can be a very prosperous business for anyone.

I just wanna say this is not for everyone, you do need to have the needed motivation, and consistency to blossom/finding referrals for you and your downline atleast in the beginning, I'm motivated but I need to figure out which way is the best to aquire referrals, otherwise it will be a very expencive experience for me.

does anyone know of anything cheaper and reliable?

I did not test google adwords on GDI,, but I think it could be a good way to generate leads,, the only thing is that the beginners here do not have the budget I geuss to start out in adwords..

I would recommend the DreamTeamFormula,, as it is free to use,, you have a team of uplines that are promoting your link,, and you will be trained to use the same methods your upline uses to generate leads,,

I joined,, I got the guide and all the methods are free and they do work,, I am now a member of the dreamteam for one week and I have already 2 members in my downline,, so it is going great

Well, in my opinion, GDI is still one of the best online business opportunities out there. You can succeed in GDI, as long as you are in the right team. Your upline must be helpful and willing to help and assist you. Your upline should share with you the things that worked for him and what didn't.

All GDI members should understand that their downline is the most precious things, as they are generating income for you. If you help your downline to succeed, you will succeed. On the other hand, if they fail - you fail.

Godaddy offer .com domains for $7.50. Their product is better and SIXTEEN times cheaper.

Look at GDI's site. What are they selling, seriously? A product? No. They're well aware their product sucks and is of no value to anyone. All they're selling is another MLM scheme, only endorsed by the people involved.

If you're selling the product, rather than the scheme, why sell GDI's? Take the $10 per month GDI charge you, buy yourself a reseller account, and sell a BETTER product.

If you're smart enough to sell a Western Samoa domain for 16x what a .com sells for, you're smart enough not to let someone take 90% of your earnings.

GDI "Global Domains International" is NOT a pyramid scheme since there is a product and service (domain name & web hosting), thus it is a business opportunity!

The licensor or seller of a business opportunity usually declares that it will secure or assist the buyer in finding a suitable location or provide the product to the purchaser-licensee."

GDI "Global Domains International" is a legitimate business opportunity and in the same time a steady life long income.

GDI is NOT a pyramid scheme, but an excellent life lasting business opportunity.

As a matter of fact that is the case of the sales business. A good salesman can virtually sale anything, as he is primarily selling himself in around 60%-70%, the good or services representing only 30%-40%.

Successful people always attract other people, because we all want to have success. Nobody wants to fail, and we all want to make money.

Sometimes the income opportunity is just an extra, a bonus for something else; there are marketing gurus who are doing that...

I also had a previous GDI account, but I was not having much success and my upline was not really supportive; he wanted me to figure it all out by myself, with little or no help from him. I canceled my previous GDI account and joined under another sponsor who was willing to help me. She is Cristina Hernandez, who introduced me to Dream Team Formula system and to the Profit Sharing Marketing system on what is based the Dream Team Formula system.

I like the Dream Team Formula (DTF) system because it is free to use, as long as your upline is a member of DTF. There is no need to pay for something else except your GDI monthly fee. There are other system too successfully promoting GDI but they are requiring joining other free or paid programs in order to fully benefit from it. That is how they offer multiple source of income. Thank you for the positive comment about the dreamteamformula. People should know that this one of the best downline builders out there.

People should definitely sign up for the dreamteamformula, the system is very effective. Especially for the GDI members that do not have success on there own.

If you can't make it on your own,, the best thing to do is to team up. That is why I created my own team(The DreamTeam) and started training my downline to promote GDI the right way.

I am already seeing great results, my downline is brining in new referrals. You mentioned in a couple of posts back that people buy leaders not opportunity's and I agree with that. My downline sees me as a leader, I train them, I guide them and keep them posted with the newest updates. I provide them with the tools I use and methods I try and not to forget I show them to have the right mindset.

It is just great to see that people are having success with GDI because of the help I give them. This is what a lot of GDI members do not give to there downline.

See this as a business, treat it like a real business and success will follow.

In the days of mail shots (snail mail) I myself joined a mlm company (uk based i think) called Entertainment Express, luckily I joined before the launch and was already set up with quite a good downline for when it did launch.
For me it lasted about 6 months, made a few bob, then the bubble burst ...

Then I joined another mlm - Benchmark UK, it had 2 products and i phisically went cold selling, I built a customer base and a small downline, again lasting less than a year.

By the way both Entertainment express and benchmark used famous telly people to promote for them and for some reason both people endedup in court, dunno if they were breaking laws but i do remember both making public apologies for advertising them.

That was then... many moons ago...

I got a m8 (a real one lol) who does an offline (uk based) MLM, he's been in the game since xmas and I hear hes doing very very well.

So i guess its each to his own.

Looking at your experiences I can understand that you don't look back to any MLM business anymore.

I can't imagine to be cold selling for GDI, because that is not necessary. The product they sell can be sold to all kind of people. Like people who are looking for home based business opportunity's or people who are simply looking for a domain with web hosting.

GDI is legit business and really provides a long lasting residual income. But the most people forget that you have to work hard to be able to achieve that.

Hey Moayediyan I just wanted to say thanks. To be honest I started with gdi a year ago I saw little results and just wanted to quit. But after joining the DTF, I'm finally starting see real results. The DTF success guide actually helps you, unlike some of the rehashed ideas you see all the time. And my DTF upline set me up so well. I'm finally getting sign ups and building my downline. A forum to ask questions, downloads, the works. Basically its an all in one system. And we hold weekly conferences.

I agree with the person who said, people don't join a system they join a leader. Build your self, build your rep, give people a reason to join you, and you will soon grow!

Several systems were created for a better promoting of GDI. Many people have noticed the opportunity and tried a different approach to GDI. Others are "selling" GDI as a complementary income source beside their regular program.

In any case, always follow a successful leader, and in most cases you will get a part of that success. Not always, as time to time the great leaders will only see the "big picture" and will not see the entire picture with you in it in the corner
