Ok, so I first want to state one thing: This is not my method, I did not think it up - it was just too funny not to share!!!
I just returned home from dinner with a friend of mine in the IM world. He promotes mostly dating offers and does very well. He sticks to just that niche and seems to do very well. Although we really never talk money it is pretty safe to say that he is doing very well.
Anyway he told me about an "offline" method that he tried one day this week AS A JOKE...but it turned out to be a goldmine.
This is what he did:
He decided to promote a "hook up" site to guys on a college campus...using two smoking hot girls. He put an ad online looking for two promotional girls. He ended up hiring two girls and paid them $20 per hour...4 hours so the girls made a quick $80 cash - drinking money for a college kid. Anyway, he had them just target guys....but here is the kicker! He created a page on the hook up site for each of his promo girls...and made them each a custom tshirt (small and tight of course) that said "HOOK UP WITH ME" - and had the girls hand every guy they could find a flyer and flirt with them...show them their profile on their iphone and then write their "username" on the flyer for the guy. Now this was done in a major college city...and they targeted every guy they could fine...not just college kids. Think about it...if you are a guy and a hot chick comes up to you then oyu are probably going to listen to what they have to say lol
(college guys have 2 things on their mind....girls and beer)...heck, some things never change lol
Anyway here were his costs:
TOTAL Promo/Advertising Cost = $283
Ok...this is where it gets NUTTY!!!! They handed out all 4,000 flyers...and must have done some heavy flirting!
....He got 118 conversions!!!!
118 x $45 payout = $5,310
$5,310 Revenue

- 2 accounts on the hook up site (trial) - $10
