Let's Me Tell You A True Story... (It's Just Happen Yesterday !)

Yesterday, I have put Web 2.0 Site aka "Social Media Optimization" (by utilizing Social Networking Sites and Social Bookmarking Technique) to the test. I'm wondering that the tradition way of "In Site Optimization" as well as "Buying & Building" quality back link still worth the time & effort or not?

I challenge myself to get in Top 10 of the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages) within 24 hours by using Web 2.0 Sites, in the least time, by using the most "Time Effective Method".

In addition, I don't want to spend a dime to get the ranking. I don't want to wait for weeks or months too !

This is just perfect for both Veteran & Beginner Internet Marketer.

Following are the Competition of the Phrase that I tried to rank for:
Keywords Without Quote: 578,000 Results
Keywords With Quote: 209,000 Results
Keywords Intitle: 1,570 Results

As you probably already know, these results that I get from Google tells me that it's fair reasonable for me to get the Top 10 of SERPs.

By spending total 2 hour and 30 minutes, I have build 1 Squidoo lense, 1 Hubpges, Ping them and Bookmark them.

The Results:
My Squidoo rank in 8th of the SERPs. (Within 7 Hours)
My Hubpages rank in 30th of the SERPs. (Within 2 Hours)

Other top ten in the SERPs are Amazon, Buy.com and other authority sites (which may not possible to overtake their rank without further works)

The Step By Step Blueprint To Achieve It:

Step 1: Build Your Squidoo Lense & Hubpages
No doubt, you have to Build and Publish your pages first

Step 2: Copy down & Prepare:
a) the links to your site
b) the RSS Feed links
c) Title
d) Description
e) Tags

Step 3: Ping It !
Free Service: hxxp://pingomatic.com/

Step 4: Bookmark It !
Free Service: hxxp://www.socialmarker.com/

Step 5: I Went To Sleep ...
After I wake up the another day (today), I make this thread to share with fellow BHW Members

You can always bookmark your "links page/profile pages" for the Social Bookmarking Sites & Ping them (if they have RSS Feeds).

Whenever you add or edit your Web 2 Sites, you can ping them and Bookmark them again.

You are free to repeat the step above until you want to stop ranking for your Web 2 Sites.

Can you imagine what you can achieve when you have the skills to rank in top 10 of SERPs with so little effort ?

Yup, I agree that the ranking will stop if I just keep it without taking any further action.

I have decide that continue to update and tweak both of my Web 2 sites, in addition, I will ping and bookmark them too.

After that ... I just can wait and see what I can achieve !

You are free to cheap my ranking in Google. And you should find out that I just register my account and build my lense yesterday. The lense just get rank in Google few hours ago too.

Thanks for the PM...I'll check it out...I have made several lenses but am still having a bit of trouble getting traffic...its kind of frustrating but I'm sure I'm going wrong somewhere (apparently). I'll have to start bookmarking and see how that goes...thanks again

Hai friend i have one doubt let me know that does u use Crappy content or Unique content. Let me know this

My Squidoo lense is not short because I use "duplicated content". There is only less than 10 % are unique or rewritten by me.

Tips:
I find content from another type of media too, such as:
a) Video
b) Audio

I use the transcript for the video or audio, so that, the content that I generated by this method is 100% unique.

Besides this, I mainly rewrite few sentence in the "duplicated content".

Anyway this method is really good I plan to use it a lot.
You should now make stronger your lens with building additional links to it, if you don't it will probably fell in rankings. Start now building links to your lens with other soc. sites, free blogs, article marketing etc. But do it slowly over time and mix different types of links

Yes, this is part of Conversation Domination Strategy. It's also being used in the Howie Apprentice program.

Update:
Ranking for "Long Tail Keyword" will end up rank a lot of phrase, including shorter keywords. I get most of them rank in the first page. It's time for duplication now in order to dominate the SERPs.

Yup, I know.. I'm doing it for last 2-3 months. Now I plan to scale and perfect it to make it even more effective.

Update for My Results:

3 days have pass, I have didn't nothing to boost my ranking after I built it.

The site still rank in SERPs, for the main keywords and shorten phrase.

Until now, I have get 136 unique visitors, 13 clicks, 1 sale, $ 6.70 for Squidoo.
For hubpages, I get 87 unique visitors, 5 clicks, 0 sale. (Looking forward that it will convert after driving more traffic)

Can you imagine that it is passive income for me, for just 3 days... So far it is good ! : )

Looking forward that these sites will continue bringing traffic for me. I will spend some times to tweak & update the sites too.

just like to say I am doing similar with socialmarker. I am using a program I bought called gtrends. (no I dont own it or got an affiliate) you copy allthe keywords in from ggogle adwords and the free wordtracker and it analyses what keywords that you could rank first for, just put them in the socialmarker tags and actually my site was a youtube video advertising my adsense/ affiliate site. basically 'low hangin fruits' if the search per day it over 100 amd the competition is less than 30,000 then you have a chance at the number one sport. I got 7 keywords from that then changed settings too over 80 searches and less than 35,000 competition. I havent earn a lot but only done it last night,

just though that I would mention this, hope it is useful for someone

I have put many hours of testing into this and done a lot of case studies - what i can determine is that social media optimization is good for very quick "references to your site" appearing in higher SERPS but they do not last - although i have found it will speed up your site getting indexed as opposed to manually submitting it to Google.

the work around would be to simply re-submit the site using SMO when the references start to drop in the SERPS

socialmarker.com - Do you have to sign up for acc'ts on all 48 social bookmarking spots?

last time i checked you do - look around there are people that will auto create accounts for you...

StomperNet was preaching this a year ago in their "smarts" program - long before Howie Schwartz.

I paid for HS's "blackhat is back" but was pretty unimpressed.
It was just the same material from ConvDom regurgitated over again.

I doubt that this is an effective way to make money unless you've got a team of people like Howie does churning these things out by the dozen every single day.

The posted who said that this a good way to get your site indexed is correct.
However, INDEXED is the key word here, not RANKED. You can make a million PR0 sites pointing at your "main site" with perfect anchor text and it doesn't mean it will get your main site ranked. In fact, it might even backfire.

Yes it is non effective do not even attempt it!

Unfortunately I'm not going to praise you like many others here...

1) It's been known for quite a while that you can use this method your mainly regurgitating previously mentioned knowledge.

2) It holds no guarantee and can back fire

Like many others said it can get you indexed faster. The problem is most professionals want their primary site listed not some stupid social media or MySpace page. I can easily blog a little bit or even make a single post and get rank in 24 hours. It's not terribly hard.

As for your death of SEO... That's not yet. Death perhaps to black hat techniques until a new one comes about. The fact is in SEO your optimizing content. The real intent is not to play dirty search engine tricks. (Admittedly they can work very good for a while).

using social media is definately good for exposure whilst you work on getting you main site to top of the SERPS

Yeah this has happened to me aswell, especially with relatively new websites. But Google pushes the site down in a day or two.

It's good that a lot of people don't believe in some techniques because it will last longer for us who use it.

Anyway, I heard some funny stuff few days ago... some guy said he was earning money with Adsense.. Can you believe this shit??? Damn those liars who lie how they are earning money online
