Hi,
After some BHW-ers posted about trading domains, and particularly Kase asking for a reliable domain appraisal site, I had the idea to look up for the actual bid prices of domains.
Does no matter, how an authority valuates a domain, the real value of a domain is the price buyers (bidders) would afford for it.
I think it is same in the real estate business: final price is set by the actual buyer who pays it.
Now, for easy reference I found a really good domainer tool, that shows the actual offers and bids for domains on several trade platforms.
This tool has great filters you can use to find your favorite category.
Check it out at the following link:
You can see and understand fast, what people do pay for, and how much.
Then it should be not difficult to decide in which kind of domain names is worth to invest.
Then the site who.is may be useful to check for domain registration details, and also has a good and fast program for domain name suggestions.
Namecheap may be one of the places where you can buy new domains.
The domainer tool referred above will show some good places to sell domains (e-bay, sedo etc.)
I have no personal experience as domainer, thus I hope some of the forum members will add their viewpoints here.
