Now I'm not exactly a known person round here nor am an IM god. I am simply a student on placement who decided he did not want to work in the same restaurant when it came round to going back to university.

A little about myself; I'm 20, Athletic, Doing a computer network degree, on placement. I love "the struggle" so a lot of the money I get gets thrown into an untouchable savings account. This forces me to have no money and makes earn. Through the younger stage of my life this is how it had to be as I had little support and had to do things that I now kind of regret. I say kind of because every now and again I'll go back to these things.

With that said, here is my method. As stated in the title to this date I have made $2,193,31 (According to the XE Currency Converter) and will make an extra $60 when I send 2 invoices. My method has 0 investment, has been in place 5 months, only takes me around 2 hours a night and started right here in BHW. My method is Article Writing.

This is something that most people would not like to do. They think it is too time consuming and boring; however it's actually perfect for getting some start up cash.

To begin with here is a picture of how much I have received in Paypal since september all of which has come from writing:

So now you have an idea of my earnings here is how I did it.

I was bored one day after work (I'm doing a placement working full time, I'm 200+ miles away from my family and friends and only really go out on weekends now). I was simply looking for ways to make extra money. I thought i might as well let it stack whilst I can! And hopefully in the process find a way to make money next year when I return to uni without having to actually get employed.

I came across article writing. It needed no investment and I had the time available. So I thought why not? I posted a topic in the Article Writing section here offering 10 free articles.

From these 10 free articles I got my first client and he gave me orders at the start of every month. I charged a considerably low price but that is how i started.

After this I learnt how easy it was to make money from writing. I signed up to Fiverr and ODesk (I do not recommend oDesk). Clients from Fiverr turned into external clients who came to me directly and the same situation occurred with some of my oDesk employers. Before I knew it I was simply throwing £250+ a month into my savings account and just letting it sit.

Now this method is very easy and has earned me plenty. I have reinvested some into tools such as The Best Spinner and Scrapebox (not really used it yet) and also purchased a couple of MNS (turned out to be a waste of time). The truth is starting out as an article writer can be the start of your entire IM career and it is absolutely perfect for noobs as long as they have good english and good writing skills along with the ability to research.

Now many people will think that this method cannot be scaled, but of course it can. Once you get a good reputation you can start to hire other writers. You just have to take the time to make sure they're work is at the same level you are working at. Once you do this you can offer your service here on BHW, continue to use fiverr and even apply for jobs on freelance websites for your writers to do for you (I don't do this).

As for me I work completely on my own. I do plan on hiring other writers some day and hopefully this will be soon as i do have a service i would like to release exclusively to BHW.



Hope this is useful particularly to some of you newbies out there. $2000 is more than enough to start moving on to bigger things and you can achieve it with absolutely no investment.

I do 500 word articles or 2 articles up to 350. I also had a Gig where I offered 3 for $10 if they were all niche related.

Do you offer more than one article in your Fiverr gig? What is your turnaround time?

Great, congratz buddy. You have gave a great method. Never thought of this, so I will start implementing the method this weekend. Will report back if I got some gig.

To be honest it depends, some people send me very specific instructions which will include everything they want to be covered in the article. Whatever I do I try to make it a little more engaging than some of the other articles I see for that subject. But the key thing is to provide the information that they want to reader to get out of the article.

If the person simply gives me a niche I'll probably scrape some KWs to see what people are targetting in that niche at the moment and try and throw a little twist into the style of writing I use.

Yeah I could definitely earn more and sometimes if I have a lot to do I'll work for a bit longer, but I have a Job that takes my time 9-half time at the moment (my student placement). I'll do doing a lot more over the summer / when i return to university.

I have no idea! I've never done anything to my Fiverr Gigs except for add a video when things started getting slow. I started getting orders on the 2nd day after posting the Gig and it all went well from there.

I've tried different types of gigs - 500 words, 2 x 600 words, spinning etc but they all just kicked off on their own.

I think the Video did have some effect (all it has on it is me writing in microsoft word LOL), but something like 81 people have favored that gig :S

I am rubbish at righting articles (I can write fiction, but not nonfiction for some reason...), but you did inspire me to use an old idea of mine. Just need to setup a couple of things before I start.
