What about "SECOND LIFE"?
I'm kinda surprised I never saw someone talking about Second Life, or maybe this game had success years ago and now doesn't worth our time...
In the past was a good source for money I guess, or I am wrong?

Re: What about "SECOND LIFE"?
second life is secure & has a real life economy. you can cash out for real world cash. its not a good idea to even try to exploit it. if you want to get rich on it, develop a second life in it, literally.

The games economy is no longer viable for new users to make a competitive profit, its all locked up unless you make a large cash investment

Re: What about "SECOND LIFE"?
You see the millionaires of second life who run gambling places in it and people selling land. It really is a second life. If you work hard in second life you will earn money like you would in real life.

Re: What about "SECOND LIFE"?
It used to be pretty nice. You could easily make $5-$10 a hour playing that game, or make a few dollars afk running a script. Now, it's basically if you want to make money you need to be on the damn game 24/7 It's really like a 2nd life. Stupid.

No there is no blackhat method really.
The only way to make money is to own land/property and the only way to own property is to make a large cash investment. It used to be like land was really cheap, affordable and anyone can have a go. But now you have to be willing to give a lot.

I thought a lot of people make their "second income" from selling items (e.g. clothing)...? Surely there are several other methods for making money there apart from real estate??

Re: What about "SECOND LIFE"?
I heard people was stealing clothes and items on there.

Re: What about "SECOND LIFE"?
Everything your "hearing" is from 2+ years ago. You used to be able to invest $50 and make money on autopilot selling clothes, items, land, etc etc. You can't do this anymore because everything is so expensive. Hell, I used to get a female character and offer sex for 200-500 lindens $5-$10 lol. Shit worked

Re: What about "SECOND LIFE"?
Ya'll are wrong. You have to make a business in there to make money. It used to pay most of my bills. Business is slow all over there right now, but I still cash out. Scripters, 3-d modellers, graphic artists, event planners and those with access to motion capture technology will be most successful there. There's no real viable way to make cpa offers work as of yet, that I know of. Me and and a partner tried just about every damn thing possible.
You can have up to 512m parcel free, and yes you can monetize it. You don't have to have a lot of money to own land there. Yes you can steal clothes and items, it's hardly necessary though, once you become a creator, most of us give our shit to each other free.
The best way to make a lot of money is to build a brand. It takes at least a few weeks, after you have products, to see results, once you know how to market there.

If you ever decide to do a quick [method] type thread going into more detail about building a brand there let me know. Would be verrrrryyy interested in learning about this. Any quick info on CPA methods that have failed and thoughts on why would be appreciated too...

It makes allot of sense you sound like you have tried many things on there. I may know a method that could work on there though its hit or miss.

Re: What about "SECOND LIFE"?
I've used SL for about 6+ years now and I know of at least 3 people who make pretty good income still. The top selling items are: Weapon Builders/Scripters, High Quality Clothing, Unique Buildings/Homes. Jobs like Escorting (yea i know), DJing, Event Hosting still make money. It is really like having a Second Life. You'll more than likely have to put in the same # of hours that you would in RL. I know how to use SL pretty well so if you have any money-making ideas, maybe we can work something out - would only like to work with honest people though as I'm a straightforward honest person myself. I'm usually on there to just RP. There are usually over 50,000 people on at one time spread out across the "world". Anyways, if anyone asks me about SL I can go on for ages of all the stories/memories I've had over the years =P
My conclusion is, I still believe you can make money in SL even if it's a small amount. PM me if you have questions. You'll have to go through the Orientation first to get used to controlling your avatar.

Re: What about "SECOND LIFE"?
You could just go on Imvu and become a developer. But you will have to learn Maya or 3DS max if you wanted to create products from scratch. Otherwise, you can use Photoshop to edit textures and just resubmit (derive) the products as your own. When people buy your clothes, you get credits. Then you sell those credits for money. I check my account every month and I usually have about 20,000 credits. Then I sell them and get about 6 or 7 dollars
