Hi guys I've been thinking a bit about starting a retail site, have some ideas in mind but most niches already have major players and there doesn't seem to be any room for another retail type site. Any thoughts on if this is still a good strategy.

This would obviously be something that I'd commit to full time and have physical inventory ( not drop shopping ). Just curious to hear your thoughts if there are still profitable niches.

It is still a viable business model. However you absolutely have to have the right product(s).

Perhaps to test the waters you could pick an Evergreen Product ( one always in demand) and see if your marketing strategy pans out. Be mindful of the level of competition though.

If you want to do hit and run marketing then read, read, read the news to see what's hot right now and go for it.

Here's are some niches I a m exploring myself. Consumer products that are related to health or beauty. Think supplements, makeup and special food-stuffs. I think there will always be room to make money in those categories.
