Default [Journal] Hi, I'm Reroute and this is my battle plan. LEARN AND EARN

Hello all! Welcome to my journey.

I'm not just stumbling into making this journal it's something that I've been thinking about for awhile now. I feel that the time is right to put my feelings and ideas here for a few reasons.

    1. I think it will help motivate me to work

    2. I will learn more with input from this community on my methods and progress

    3. Hopefully in return it will have educational value to some people here

So a little background about how I got here. I was a web designer for a small company. The owner treated me poorly so I decided it was not the place for me. However before I left I saved up a good amount of money and researched these forums and SEO as much as i could.

After reading the forums for awhile I quickly realized that the answer was staring me in the face. I had all the tools right in front of me and all I needed to do was take action. I can build a site from concept to implementation. I can design, code, create graphics, write excellent content, and do it all while keeping a bigger picture in mind. Add to that the fact I've never been more motivated in my life to make something work and I feel ready to take on any challenge in front of me.

I look at this as an opportunity to become my own boss. I have no delusions that this will be easy. I am ready and have already done the following:

-Saved enough money to last for at least 5 months even if I don't make a dime on any of my websites or services.
-Purchased a brand new laptop and a VPS server
-Done intense research on SEO for the past 3+ months

My goal is to make enough to support myself through a combination of monetizing my own network of sites and providing web, graphic, and seo services to a range of clients. I have experience freelancing and now I have a whole new set of tricks up my sleeve along with the confidence to sell it.

Even if all this fails I can always get another "regular job". But I'm ready to roll the dice...

SO, to begin I'll break down the sites I'm going to make. I've already begun work on some of them and I will update progress as I move along. They will be monetized in a number of ways for a few reasons.

    1. Avoiding putting all my eggs in one basket.

    2. Learning and testing the different methods for myself.

    3. The sites lend themselves to some strategies better than others.

I have already been adsense approved since I have been operating a single website for over 2 years now. I got my account approved on that site, which I will also be revamping.

I have also been approved for 2 other ppc networks.

My strategy for the first batch of sites will rely heavily on PPC. I feel that this is well suited for a beginner and fits my talent of writing content well. I will be exploring other ways as I learn more about them. I am interested in CPA and Content Locking in the very near future, but for now I want to focus on building traffic and PPC.

I currently have 23 domains I could potentially work on. Now some were registered early in my Keyword Analysis "Career", so they're not all killers. I have about 10-15 domains I actually want to actively promote and write content for. The others will be utilized as web 2.0's, buffer sites, or test sites.

I will specify visitors, cpc's, and more stats as I start to collect them. For now I will be writing about my progress developing the sites and what I'm working on currently.

When it comes down to it I will be successful because I want it more than anyone else and I'm going to work harder than anyone else. If you think this way then you'll be successful too.

    Thanks for the support guys!

Quick update for the weekend. I finalized my domain registration and am set on the sites I will be developing for a while.

The main thing I worked on the last day or so:
I've written 3000 words of unique content for 2 different sites.
I've done some design and development work

I've got a busy night and day tomorrow so I'm not going to be able to get much done. Tomorrow night I plan on putting in some solid time. I will have a more complete update and get some stats up to start tracking these sites early in the week.

With all the talent and expertise that you already posses I am surprised that it has taken you so long to start your own journey, having said that of course I realise that its quite a leap in the dark for you, and it takes a lot of courage to take that all important first step.
I wish you well my friend and hope that you succeed beyond your wildest dreams for that will be a great inspiration to the other members on here who are either undecided or unsure.
