1. If my niche was in something that involved lots of copyright material, but I only LINKED to the copyright material that was hosted on another site, and didn't actually host any files on my server.. Would that still be illegal?

4. I would probably be using Hostgator for hosting, will they ban me? If they do ban me would they ban my entire HG account or only the specific website, leaving my whitehat websites intact?

3. Would it get my adense/CPA banned?

4. Best way to monetize would be content locker?

Hostgator? sure if they catch you.

Hosting companies won't ban your site, if they have any issue they'll just email you with a demand to fix it in X days. linking to other's copyrighted material is not "illegal" but using adsense on this kind of sites won't be a smart move. don't think you should have a problem with CPA or even other CPC networks other that adsense

Right CPA companies really only care about if the leads are converting and if they are making money. If you do not break their tos, you will not be banned.

yeah its not illegal to link to sites which store copyrighted stuffs. In fact most of the warez sites do the same..they simply provide links of filehosting sites where you can download pirated applications.
