[Journal] My FIRST Micro Niche Site
Hey Guys
I recently opened my first micro niche site. I did a bit of research into how to find keywords and whatnot and found a keyword with an EMD and 4.4k global searches and 1.9k local us searches. Low competition (I know this is for Adwords not SEO) and an EPC of £0.72.
It's a software related niche which I know quite a lot about and so I've chosen to write my own articles. I've published a 500-600 word article with my keyword as the title and 2-3 times throughout the article. I've added my Adsense ads onto a CTR theme.
However. Once I've got atleast 3 articles up there (I intend to add more) how do I go about building back links and increasing my google rankings. And have I missed anything out? Once I get a bit of information I will turn this page into a journal to monitor my progress and show that if I can do it. Anyone can.
Thanks
Adam Downing

Re: [Journal] My FIRST Micro Niche Site
1st: check if onapge seo is nearly perfect (use easy wp seo & yoast if you own wordpress)
2nd: set up google webmastertools
3rd: submit your sitemap
4th: wait until your site gets indexed by google
5th: build up web20 profiles, forum profiles, social bookmarks, articles/press releaces and submit your site to directions
6th: buy some scrapebox blast to the sites created at 5th
7th: wait
8th: buy some highpr/edu links to your moneysite
9th: wait
Xth: earn money
meanwhile: write, write, write..

I'm not even sure if I'm hitting a good keyword. Some help with this would be appreciated. Obviously I don't want to post my keyword public.

Re: [Journal] My FIRST Micro Niche Site
Something I always check to make sure I have a good keyword is spyfu.com.
The website will check if there is advertisers for your keyword. It's very important because you may have a EMD with decent exact match and good CPC but if no one pays to place ads on it you'll be disapointed
I hope this will help some of you

Re: [Journal] My FIRST Micro Niche Site
Good luck, but you should always choose a keyword which has high advertiser competition in adwords.

Re: [Journal] My FIRST Micro Niche Site
Start your site with quality backlinks, links from blog networks, social networks, web 2.0 properties instead of blasting comments or forum profile links through automated softwares. That will do more damage than good, take some time out to read my live case study, I am sure you will learn a lot.
