Hey everyone, you probably don't know who am because I don't post much, however I've started this thread partly to help get myself more active in the forum and stop me from lurking so much.

Anyway, I've been in internet marketing for about a year, but I've never been paid out by a company.The best I've ever made was a few hundred from article writing, okay but still far from where I want to be.

At the moment I have 5 websites (all of them are MNS) with 6 - 11 articles on each. To make it easy I'll just refer to the as website 1-5:

Website 1 is monetized by Adsense, is a year old and has about 8 uniques a day.

Website 2 is monetized through adsense, CB and Amazon Associates. It is 8 months old and has about 20 uniques per day.

Website 3 - 5 are all 4 months old, monetized through adsense and get no traffic.

My websites get traffic almost exclusively from Google, so that is what I will focus on. My goal is to get up to $100 per day, so my game plan is to make these sites profitable before building new ones. Recently, my major focus has been improving CTR by using different layouts. I'm fairly confident that my sites are well optimized for a high CTR but a will let the data be the judge.

I plan on doing this income journal in a similar format to thec00kchris because I really like how he set his up. (Not to mention how much of an inspiration he is). So if you are a reading this Chris, I hope you don't mind me stealing from you!

I didn't put a time limit on my goal because I'm going to be working as hard as possible so a time limit won't really matter all that much.

Bit of a noob myself but should your priority be to get more traffic to your sites rather than CTR? CTR may be pretty pointless if there is nobody there to click on the ads in the first place.

Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, like i said i'm pretty new to all this so maybe i miss read something. If thats the case how do you intend to rank your sites better, fiverr gigs, manual backlinks etc....

Yeah, I know. I'm working on getting more traffic but it just seems so hard to get it past 20 uniques a day, this is one of the reasons I made this thread.

Thanks for the good luck wishes. Shoot for the stars and land on the moon, that is how I'm going to do it. What is the fun in shooting for a boring goal like $100 a month? Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know, but I do know that if I never give up, I can't fail.

DAY 1

So today I haven't done all that much, just wrote a 500 word article that is scheduled to post in a weeks on website 2. I've also ordered a profile links package for websites 3 -5, so we will see how that goes. I'm hoping that at least two of them get second page ranks for their main keyword.

Pageviews are down from the average today (88 uniques is the average) but I got a click! Too bad it was for such a pathetic amount.

Interesting thread because I'm kind of doing the same thing. I currently have 6MNS and 1 site (Authority Type) that i'm working with.

curious to know, are you using wordpress for all the sites ? that's what i'm doing right now since it's pretty noob friendly + popular.

My mns are like 3 days old (2 articles each) and my authority site is like a week old, no visitors yet but that will change =) competition sites look very weak and easy to outrank.

I get distracted from reading threads that interest me but it does help to research terms that I don't know well yet. So much information, by summer I should have more than a gig of info stored in my noggin (that includes, ebooks, tutorials, videos, and MoRE!)

but anyway good luck and I will keep up with this thread, hopefully can give each other tips throughout the process ... Peace

good luck! is your traffic low because you are not top 5 serp or because your keyword has low searches?

Nice work with your sites, I hope you do well. Yes my sites are all Wordpress as it is the only thing I know how to use. I have the same problem with getting distracted, but how can you not with access to a website full of threads with legit promises of making you $100+ a day. If I had the time to apply every method here I'd be a billionaire, lately I've been blocking BHW until 8pm so I don't get distracted! Sharing some tips with one another sounds like a good plan, I'm sure we can both learn some stuff from each other.

Well for site 2 (the one that gets 20 uniques a day) I am ranked #5 for a keyword with over 3500 monthly searches, so I guess that is why my traffic is so low. I'm sure I'll get up to at least 50 uniques a day, not really sure if that is a good amount or not. For the rest of my sites the problem is that I just don't have them ranked for anything yet, luckily I've get a guy working on profile links so we will see how that helps.

Day 2
Sorry for this not being up last night, BHW was being upgraded so I couldn't post.

So, today I've been rewriting articles on 3 of my micro niche sites. I'm editing them because I outsourced these articles cheaply and they came out quite terrible. Not only was there tons of mistakes in grammar, but the content itself lacked any substance whatsoever. I mean the articles were literally like, "If you want to learn how to make (my keyword), the first step is to find a reliable search engine..." so I will never make the mistake of going the cheap route for content creation. I rewrote four articles and that took me two hours! Which is longer than it would have taken for me to do them myself.

I also started doing blog commenting, to get some deep links to my sites. I really hate doing blog commenting because, I always write a good thought out comment, but half the time they are never approved.

Traffic was down a lot and a didn't get any adsense money today.

Day 3

Today I did some blog commenting to inner pages of several sites, but I also contacting a bunch of webmasters asking if they would let me do a guest post on their site. I am hoping a can get at least one site do agree as this will give me a relevant and powerful backlink. Not to mention how easy it will be to get even more guest posts on the same site once the webmaster decides I'm decent. So far only one has responded and it was just an autoresponder saying that they have do much mail that they don't even read it at all. Disappointing, but I can't expect everyone to allow me to guest post.

Traffic was up from yesterday but still far from where it needs to be, I'm hoping my outsourced backlinks are done soon so that I can start seeing some traffic on sites 3 - 5.

Day 4

Thanks to the people who have commented in this thread, your support really helps me.

My profile links are done and I have received my report. 145 profile links, 30 are edu with 3 urls in each, I used the urls of sites 3-5 because they aren't ranked for any terms yet. I ran a Scrapebox blast earlier today on my profile links and got 3000 successful posts, right now another SB blast is running with 17000 relevant URLs so I should have at least 6000 successful posts by the time I wakeup.

No one has responded to my inquiry about guest posting to today but I did find a very cool opportunity that will help me out a lot. A PR5 blog in site 2's niche happens to have a guest blogging program that requires you to post one article a week to their site but not only do I get a bio with a hyperlink, but I also get to add my adsense code! So, of course I've signed up for that and am crossing my fingers that I get approved. If I do you can expect my adsense, rank in Google and traffic to explode.

I've also been rewriting some of my articles because as I have mentioned before, the articles I have bought for sites 3 - 5 are pure garbage, they sound like they were by a 3rd grade foreigner in their 1st year of english, they are seriously that bad. So it is unfortunate that I have to write them over, but I've learned from my mistake and won't cheap out on content creation anymore.

I got two adsense clicks today, both on website 2 which has the most traffic. My CPC is pathetic and I need to do something about it, as I think I should be getting at least 30 cents per click. Website 1 has a 98 cent CPC so maybe I should be paying more attention to that site. I've been toying with the idea of turning website 1 and 2 into authority sites with 30 + articles. I think I'll probably do it, they both are practically authority sites already because they have a decent number of posts on them.

Day 5

I was sick today with a fever so I barely got anything done. Only did a single SB blast and I wrote one article. However, I did have a lot of time to think and I've decided that starting tomorrow I'm going to begin implementing Kraftykyles method in his journal. The reason being that these methods should bring me some quick cash which I can use to buy a VPS with SEO tools preloaded on it. Once I have some solid tools I think ranking will be much easier.

As mentioned yesterday, today I started doing blackhat methods to get some extra cash for my larger projects. Today I followed Kraftykyles journal and implemented his day 1 method. I've made 3 youtube accounts today and uploaded 5 songs to each with links to a sharecash download. We'll have to see if this makes me anything, it might make a few bucks but Kraftykyles journal really seems to take off later on. We will have to see. For those of you that are wondering, I'm not giving up on my websites I'm just trying some quick cash methods in order to buy a VPS with black hat tools. Expect to see $1.00+ a day in the next week.

start saving generalizing comments for later - so if you remember one that could almost fit in a comment, it's a minute or two you saved. IMHO, when i'm reading blogs or information - i RARELY click on comment url's, but when im youtubing - i'm like the f***ing silver surfer going from one video to another. Maybe somehow make youtube videos, even if it's a bit satire (ie: be a critic of "your" blog but act like your just a viewer, not the owner) - maybe that will get the hamster's wheel spinning =P

I see what your saying but I don't do blog commenting for click through traffic, I do it for the SEO benefit. Thanks for the advice though, I'll try to do more YT backlinking.

Day 7

Here is what has happened, no work has gotten done to today but that is because I've just bought a new computer. This one is a PC so I will be able to run Scrapebox and other software without having to borrow my friends PC. I think that my new computer will really kick off some black hat methods I've got spinning around in my head. I might get my VPS sooner then expected.

Adsense had another crappy day with no money, but I don't care because if Google thinks that I'm just going to continue with this ridiculously low income then they are very mistaken. I WILL NOT GIVE UP! I will make $100 per day.

I am using CTR theme on some, with ads above content but below title. One other site has Busybee theme, and another has Heatmap pro. I don't think that is my problem, from what I've heard my layout should give me a maximum CTR. My CPC however varies from an average of $0.09 on my worst site to 0.89 on my best site.

I have some good news, I might have just made $50! If you remember, a few days back I contacted a few people about guest posting, so far I received two responses. One person is interested and should be sending me more info soon, the other doesn't need a guest post but is offering $50 a year for a link. This might not sound like much but, it will cover all of my domain costs so I'm really excited to making my first few bucks. Lets hope that this deal doesn't fall through.

Today, was best day in adsense, I made a dollar which is motivating even though it isn't much.

Today I uploaded 13 torrents, 10 using the Codec method and 3 with the password protect method. Unless I make a lot of money with this method, I don't think I am going to continue it because I'm nervous going onto all these shady torrenting sites.

I wish I could get a consistent dollar per click, I guess my niches just aren't competitive? If anyone reads this, please give me some advice on how to monetize. Do you think I should try CPA offer?

Here is a quick update on my websites. My profile link package that I ordered wasn't able to resurrect 3 of my sites. They are still 100's of pages deep in Google and therefore receive no traffic at all. I am 90% sure they have been sandboxed due to poor content and user experience. It sucks, but it is a lesson learned. I'm not going to completely give up on these sites but I'm not going to put to much effort into them. Once I got my VPS I'll just blast the shit out of them until they either come out of the sand box or get deindexed.

With that said, I've been working hard to try to afford a VPS. I've tried torrent methods, youtube + sharecash method and more but so far I haven't made anything. Today I've been messing around with content creation and signed up for textbroker.com hopefully I'll get something from them.

Day 13

Today I continued with the coupon method, created two coupons and posts. Not a whole lot got done, because I'm quite bad at designing anything so the coupons literal took three times longer than the posts. My plan is to continue making articles everyday, never stopping until I succeed. I need to hold myself to this because my biggest weakness is my lack of focus or "method add" as some call it. If you've read this thread then you know what I mean!

The site that wants to buy a link from me is still interested and I am expecting to receive payment tomorrow. Can't wait to get that money, even though I'm not sure what to do with it yet.

I've been very excited by adsense lately, although I have yet to make more than a few pennies, my click volume leaves me hopeful. I'm getting close to one click everyday, and almost all these clicks come from the same site so if I could get my CPC up to $1.00 by targeting competitive keywords than I will be making a dollar a day from one site. From there it is just rinse and repeat! I feel like I'm just a few failures away from success.

Day 14

I write another post with the coupon method. I'm happy that I've been able to stick to this method for three days and I hope I can continue to stick with it. One possible problem with the method is that I am not sure if my posts are public or not on the article directory I've been using. This can be easily fixed by using a different directory, so I'm not worried about it.

I wish I was a bit faster at this method though because I would like to be able to write four posts per day as the original method suggests. Tomorrow, I will shoot for two posts and build up from there.

Adsense did very well today! Some of you experienced guys may laugh at me but I'm very happy with my progress. Remember, all of this is for one site. The other four sites are allergic to money although I'm trying to change that.

Over the last few days, I feel like I haven't been nearly as productive as I could be. Procrastination, avoidance and distractions are an internet marketers biggest issues. I'm not very good with dealing with any of them. Today, I've realized that something has to change in order for me to to sustain my workload and still be able to succeed. I've taken a long time considering my options and I feel the best thing I can do is write down one thing that is most important if I only can do one thing. If I do this each night my priorities will be straight and it will cause me to remain focused on what needs to be done. I will combat distractions by taking a short break from using any device whenever I find myself getting distracted, hopefully a quick walk would make me think clearer.

I've got a new highest earning day! Remember how I said that someone was interested in buying a link on my site? Well, that transaction went down to day and I made $55 for the year. It is some nice quick money that I can reinvest at the cost of just one ******** link. I don't think this link will negatively affect my rankings to much but I'll see as time goes on if it does or not. If it doesn't, I will consider adding some more paid links (2 or 3 more).

My productivity strategy worked well, I got a lot done to day. One of my sites has a new theme which I think will help it convert better. I signed up for textbroker.com and I wrote another article with the coupon method.

No money in adsense again.
