I just want to know if building MNS(micro niche sites) is still a good method to make money. I start with this method and make some money with it.
Any ideas?

It's fine.
It requires a little different approach from 2-3 years ago - but it's fine.
My buddy El-Horto has about 50 sites and they each bring him about $5 a week.
I used to have 100+ but did them too "rough and nasty" and google decided to move them all from top 20 to somewhere the other side of 50 more or less overnight.
A good IMer can make 2 a day - and that includes all the SEO work they may ever need as well.
Me? I used to make 5 a day, a bit slapdash, many were less than 500 words of unique content and a quick indexing blast and that was the lot. Worked for over a year - then lost them all.
All on one hosting account as well.
But I know for sure the general method is still fine. Just needs a bit more thought.
I'm not bitter
Scritty
Run tests, keep a log, then you'll know
I'm not the one to ask. I ditched the method and now do midi sites (about 10) safer but takes longer.
Whatever you do though you'll need good research to find what niches to chase - I also don't see how MN and content locking go together, that's two different paths altogether (unless someone knows a "twist"..someone might - but I have no idea how to fit content locking into micro nich site building)
- Good research
- Quite a bit of unique content
- Trustworthy and good paying affiliate deal
- Good ranking technique
Then go >>>>>>>

One thing is for sure, you wont get rich on micro niche sites unless you upscale big time.
I'm somewhere between 1$-10$ per week per site on those ranking at least in top 5
Some a little more, some a little less.
While if upscaled it can bring decent money, its hard to work maintain 50+ sites and their rankings. Some stay in top 5 others drop if not having a steady stream of BL's
Also the adsense ban risk increases along the # of niche sites.
Myself I'm about to drop the micro sites and going for mini sites instead.
Actually just expanding some of the micro sites to mini sites instead ;-)
Im going for authority sites myself, but tested a mini niche 1 month ago it works, but 50+ page sites work better due to longtail traffic.
Plus its so much easier to manage 5 large sites than 50 small ones.
Good luck.
Ya I wouldn't go with 50, start small and build up but if you fast money I wouldn't go SEO.
In my book, mirco < 3 pages
Mini 3-10 pages
Some of my sites started as micro targeting only 1 keyword, but once they reach top5 it seems relative easy to start ranking for related keywords, so I just extend them to mini sites.
Some I even added 50+ pages targeting a lot of related keywords, works great for some niches. Even pages without backlinks seems to get great rankings if done right.
Best way to find out is to try it imo
Ok, i will try it
The goal is to start with several MNSs and then grow the ones that seem to be doing fairly well into minis and maybe even some authority sites. At least, that's my plan.![]()

One (stupid) question: Do you need a separate web hosting plan per MNS?
Because if that is the case, the costs of holding these would be damn high.

Micro Niche sites just seem to be too much time and effort to keep up. My preference would be to invest more time and money in only a few sites and then focus the SEO on those - instead of trying to SEO 50-100 sites. For the amount of time and effort required (assuming you are in this for the long haul) my 2 cents are for larger sites which you can grow over time if the site(s) warrant it. If you are looking for quick cash, try another method.
