Your first $1.00 online! Step by Step! No Investment!

I just want to share a small method, which can used by anyone, new or experienced, and costs $0.00 to do.

Here is a simple step by step that should make you your first $1.00 within 1-2 days. It's obviously very scalable if you're willing to put in the work.

1) Sign up for a "Tumblr" Account.



2) Verify your email.



3) Click on "Pick avatar".



4) Upload a nice avatar image. Tick all the boxes beside Reply/Ask/Submissions. Save settings.



5) Click "Customize Appearance"



6) Default theme is fine if you want, but change the Colors, Title, and Description. Click Save, then Close.



7) Open your main Tumblr page, and Search for something related to what you want to promote.



8) When you see a nice image you want to post, hit "Reblog".



9) Fill in a few Tags, a short comment, and MOST IMPORTANT the CONTENT SOURCE is your Affiliate Link. I prefer to use amazon associates, but you're welcome to choose your favorite.



10) Hit Reblog post.

11) Repeat steps 7-10 as much as you can to get tons of content.

Tips to make it work:
Use bit.ly short links for easy tracking of clicks.
Use unique links to see which images convert the best.
Try to post about current trends and things teenagers care about.
Original uploads work 1000X better then reblogs.
Test lots of different tags to see which get the most searches.

**I specifically chose an unpopular niche for the sample blog, because you should be thinking outside the box and finding your OWN niche. If I listed the best niches in here, they would just become saturated and worthless to everyone. Please do not PM me with questions or asking for niches, I will just ignore you.**

Optionally, you can connect your Tumblr Account to a Twitter account for extra visitors with no extra work. I suggest you do this, because many people who use Tumblr also use Twitter.

Here's my example tumblr with a simple redirect to BHW if you click any of the images.

You put your affiliate link as the source for the image when you're reblogging the post. (Step 9)

From my experience, I have seen people get banned if they reblog too much on the same account. Spread it over several accounts and you should be fine.

No, each image needs a different bit.ly link so you can track your conversions better.

No, you can have as many images as you want on one account.

Rather, you SHOULD post all images in one account. If your posts are good more people will follow and reblog you.

Maybe he can code a blog to scrape all images from google for a particular keyword, and then drip-feed them to tumblr. That might work.

One more thing. Is email verifying necessary? I've been doing some twitter stuff and have never verified accounts. Not sure if it's the same here.

I always verify accounts because the accounts last longer. I'm not 100% sure. You'd have to test it yourself to find out if you can do it without email verifying.

Thanks. I'm going to try and code a bot to create accounts and verify them using the same gmail account (with the gmail trick) and auto upload pics Working on my twitter bot has been useless lately haha.

Will this method work with email submits/cpa offers, or have you only had success with amazon links?

Also, what kind of traffic does a new tumblr generate? does it need any promotion or is it jus recycled traffic through the tumblr network?

yup already have a few ideas on how to twist it. thanks for the share! I used to be on tumblr for hours a day a couple of months ago. Already have an account with a decent amount of followers.

For an extra bit of juice you could use adf.ly as the intermediary click. I think bit.ly throws up a warning page if you try and use adf.ly so use another url shortener and then put that up in step 9 of Marusia's post.

Yes, it works with CPA. I'd recommend using something relevant to content.

A new tumblr is usually hard to get off the ground, but if someone popular reblogs your post, you can easily get a few thousand people clicking your link. Things go viral very quickly on Tumblr, thats why you have to keep experimenting with different tags and niches. You will mostly get recycled traffic from users already on Tumblr, but you will also get Search Engine traffic because Tumblr posts rank pretty good for long tail keywords.

I would not recommend that. It would kill conversions. Would you rather get a percent of a penny or commission on a sale? Most people won't even finish the few seconds when they are redirected like that...I know I don't.

Exactly. Last time I used adf.ly my traffic dropped by like half. The ad page throws them off and makes everything look all spammy.

Can you put any titles or such on the images or only tags ? I think good method would be to make lots of accounts scrape keywords related to your product for example, scrape all good images from google. Then just post x amount per account and you should get your niche covered quite fast. I did some search and there was same images quite many times.

Hmm, I'm not too sure if Tumblr renames the images when you upload them, you would have to test that. But yes, it is a good idea to scrape the images from your keywords off Google and then upload them to lots of different accounts to cover each niche.

I wouldn't create more than 2 accounts per IP per day, just to be safe. If the accounts aren't being reported as spam, then you probably won't have any trouble creating 3-4 per IP per day. And yes, you can promote your YouTube videos with Tumblr, they do pretty good getting reblogs.

To build up followers, make sure you are also following lots of other people. Lots of people do followback, just like Twitter. Send people messages in their "Ask". Not spam messages, legit questions or funny comments. And of course, post original funny content, especially Internet Memes! Tumblr people love Memes.

I can confirm that. Tumblr DOES rename images to a random name.

tumblr deletes blogs if it deems them spammy.

Ask me how I know. I stopped using them for blog promotion over a year ago.

If your using Amazon, it drops a tracking cookie.
Your answer though, is if they don't sign up for anything, you don't make any money. About 1:20 will end up buying something from Amazon. Nothing is guaranteed. They might buy a bottle of pepto-bismol, they buy a 1080p tv. Either way, I have used this method before, so I know it works.

Don't do too many posts in one day, upload good images, and spread it over accounts. This account is still active and hasn't been deleted.

That's the point. You have to pick a niche to target. I have several that have done well in the past. Unicorns wouldn't be considered one of them.

question that kinda goes with this.

does most of your commissions come from random products.. not ones you necessarily tumblr about?

basically cookie dropping.

I'd also be really careful with this, there are no release or GNU licenses on Tumblr and you do get a lot of professional artists and photographers who won't hesitate to bring lawsuits and DCMA complaints up on their work being used.

And I am working on the tumblr mathord. For now I just only one account,but I found that you can create several tumblr in one account. So I want to ask what is the difference between multy accounts and one account with several tumblrs? which way is best for the tumblr making money way.
