To celebrate my 200th post I decided to share with all of you how in 2007 on my very first real campaign I made over a thousand dollars a day for several days in a row and over $6,000 in a month. This would be in my 3-4 month of marketing.

CAUTION: THERE ARE SOME INTENTIONALLY MIS SPELLED THINGS IN THIS POST

I first must tell you, I no longer promote the product that I got that result with. I can't go into it, lets just say the method works but the product I was promoting doesn't anymore and was made by a scammer so I will refer to the product as "snigglefritz" for this post.

Ok. I had been just getting my feet wet in 2007. I had bought some ebooks in 2006 but didn't really know how to make a website or do a lot of stuff. Just knew people were discussing the same crap you can find in just about any of the crap ebooks out there which tells you good stuff but not how to do it really.

If you are a noob and don't have a website, just forget it. You need to have a website of some kind. I don't care what anyone else tells you. Even if it is a page up on squididdlyoo or fr33w3bs or something. You need to find some kind of wysiwyg on a service and you need to learn how to make a link.

So in 2007 I needed a service that was going to do something for me. I had a NEED for something. I was somebodys target market. They had what I wanted. I needed a snigglefritz. I needed a snigglefritz in the worst way, and the snigglefritz appeared to be consumer approved, so I paid for the snigglefritz.

All was well, and the snigglefritz was so great and working so well I decided I needed to sell snigglefritz. I was so happy and I knew I needed to spread the word about snigglefritz as it worked great for me and I knew it could work great for others.

I needed a website. I didn't know squat about making a real site. I did the website tonight with gosnatty and bought a domain with the keyword in it. I thought I was the snigglefritz pro so my domain was snigglefritzpro.com. I got gosnatty and got the 4 dollar a month deal that gave me 5 pages to make my site online with a wysiwyg editor. It took me 2-3 hours to put up just a couple of pages. I was watching TV and distracted, and thought it was a pain in the ass. It was really not effort. I was very lazy at the time.

Keep in mind, I knew nothing about keyword research and meta and all that crap. I had been skimming through ProjectX an all I knew was I needed my products name in the domain - which luckily for me was legal with that particular product.

My goal was to put the site up, drop 5 dollars a day in adwords and if I could get a sale and make just a couple of sales a week, I would be in good shape. Snigglefritzes were giving me 10-11 dollars profit at the time. I was unable to reach my 5 dollar a day spending. I followed x's advice and only bid on the keyword/product name. It was not known by many and I believe I was paying roughly 8-10 cents a click at the time. LOL

Within just my first week, I got my silly 5 page gosnatty website tonight up, got an adwords account, and got 2 sales by day 4. Two days later I was out for the day shopping and made more sales. It was exciting. I had put up this stuff, wasn't doing anything and was getting sales. In the first week I had covered my cost of my domain name, my hosting for that month, what I spent on adwords, and the rest was profit.

Now here is where I got the big rush. Appears snigglefritz was going to be featured in a nationwide published magazine. It was going to get a big push. I got word this was going to happen and now my keyword which was the only one keyword I was bidding on for my clicks was going to turn into gold and I knew it. People would be reading this magazine and see the name snigglefritz and they were going to be googling the bejesus out of it. My site was too new and had no rank, but I was going to be seen cause I was using adwords.

I had a month and a half to prepare, and not a clue on what I should have been doing. I started looking into adding an autoresponder to my site, but I was too cheap to just fork over immediately for asweber. I did not realize the importance of this autoresponder at the time and thought it was just a luxury.

So what did I do? Pretty much nothing except try to save up some big bucks so I could cover my g00gle adspend costs. I was going to spend 100 bucks a day and that was going to be big money.

I had one more trick up my sleeve. I was going to run a negative campaign something like: Problem with Snigglefritz

D day came. Actually 2 days BEFORE d day. The thing got released 2 days before it was supposed to. In anticipation, I had actually increased my spending limit to 80 already, and it was gone.

I was a waitress at the time, so I could cough out a hundred bucks, a day but not for too long. My other half was unemployed at the time as well and this was very annoying but that is life.

I was getting a ton of hits, but it didn't appear the sales were quite kicking in yet. Back at the ranch, the owner of snigglefritz emailed me personally and asked me if I had been dragging people off the street or something. I still have to wonder today if Mr. sniggles himself wasn't skimming off my freaking leads the first couple of days - but again I no longer sell for mr. sniggles so it neither here nor there.

By Day 3, the sales started to really appear. There was some on day 2 if I remember correctly as well, but day 3 was the beauty. I was keeping a mad watch on my adspend cause adwords will go over your limit for you (nice huh?) and I really needed to watch this. I could see my sales happening with the aff program, and watched the number go freakie on me. I was hitting the refresh button every 10 minutes or so and the sales kept coming in. I wound up pulling in 1,300 bucks, but had spent 200 - more than my budget. I forced myself to do it. I needed to make it while it was coming. It was the most money I ever made in a day for sitting in front of the computer and hitting the refresh button.

Day 4 was a Monday, and I needed to max out every card I had and was going to invest anything I could get my hands on. Snigglefritzes were selling like crack. I was just bug eyed watching the sales come in.

I went 3 days straight with over 1000 profits, and spent roughly 200 to 300 a day, and I ran out of money or was going to and needed to scale it all back and wait to get paid. I got paid a week later when the end of the month came and I was able to re-invest and make some more, but not like that initial rush. By the end of the month there was over 6g profits.

DOOM happened on day 4, and you need to know this so you don't make the mistake I did. The snigglefritz.com site got so bombarded it went down. It kept going down, and I needed to pause my ads ASAP cause people were clicking and costing me money and I probably lost money while I was sleeping and the site was down.

Like a nimrod, I still hadn't got that autoresponder going - so I whipped it up lickity split - amazing how quickly you figure out how to do something when you realize you're burning money. I got my first list started and every time the site went down I sent out a bulletin, with my link in it to be sure I would get credit for all those clicks. Those people weren't going to wait around all day, but I had now captured their names and got to them later.

Here was the pisser. My ad which was "problem with snigglefritz" well, when those peeps couldn't get to snigglefritz when it was down they all went to my ad cause they wanted to get into snigglefritz in the worst way and were trying to figure out the problem with why they couldn't get it. LOL

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. My accountant can verify.

How does this help you?

This method will work on any kind of new stuff that is good. You will need to digg like a dog, but you can find new products that no one knows diddly about and do your research quickly on them and get a site up. Bid on the name of the product only, put the product name in your domain if it is not trademarked, and get in early. You can make money in less than a week with adwords but don't go after the crap everyone else is selling and make sure you actually try the product cause your enthusiasm if it is good will show in your writing.

Adwords can seem very scary to people, cause it is like gambling, but not if you do is slow and test the waters.

I also wanted to say some will think this was a matter of "luck" and I will tell you - YOU MAKE YOUR OWN LUCK

If I had not put up that little 5 page website and been "ready" and if I had never taken action, that opportunity would have passed me right by.

I don't care how you do it, but the noobs have got to get a site together. You need to save for it and you just need to go for it.

You don't need to spend hundreds to test a product. I got that website tonight for less than 5 bucks a month! I paid for 3 months, and bought a domain (no frills)

I also got some coupons for msn, g00gle and yaghoo and ran ads. I may have dropped one in the eshmay classified as well.

But if you have nothing built, you can not get money. You need to make something and then decide how you are going to drive traffic to it.

Sorry it is such a long story. It is only a small piece in reality of what has happened to me in the past year and a few months now.

I have grown, and now my income needs to reflect that growth. LOL

I make some regular income now, but I really want to get back to that point I was at. It is like crack. It is chasing the dragon.

I am at a point where I have been doing some solid building and solid long term web building. I don't want to pay for ads. It is good for a promotion or some quick money, but for long term it is not for me.

I love going to the casino, but I gamble smart. I have a limit, and I try to leave while there is still money in my pocket.

I saw a post where the guy put the money in an lost. LOL, poor guy needed this type of advice I think before just bidding on words cause he had a credit.

It is a business, and you need to make it all work together.

The problem is getting to know the good product. Way back in 2007 may be it was possible , but not any more. Now a days even the crappiest product gets a big pre-release campaign and they make it look like the holy grail is coming out to solve the problems of the world.

Even if you are digging like a dog ..its hard to find what is good and what is bad. And practically it is not possible to try everything before you start promoting..

Yes, it was all adwords. - well, there was a touch of msn and yah00 but the clicks that were getting it all were g00gles.

I didn't know about article marketing or backlinks or anything back then. I didn't know squat.

Now I know how to make money without adwords, but I still will tell people you need to invest in your own domain and your own hosting to really get the best results. You can test on goschmatty if you want like I did with a wevsite tonight plan at like 5 bucks a month. Spend 20 bucks total, no frills.

i dont think its such a good idea to make money.

You hit it there. Yes, there is no reason for people to be doing stuff for MONTHS unless you are having sever technical problems.

I had stupid problems. I for the longest time was trying to figure out dreamweaver and build my own site. It was stupid the amount of time I wasted, especially now with so many wysiwyg editors. There is no reason for someone not to get some kind of site up in a week.

It's not going to be perfect. It will probably suck. but g000gle doesn't care what it looks like. it is looking for CONTENT and WORDS.

Video is good too for backlinks and to promote with, but G can't watch the video. You need to add the proper tags and keywords in the descriptions. G wants WORDS. You get a site up and the rest can be tidied up along the way. A simple blog. Don't know how to use WP? get the free dot com, and go in and practice and learn the backend. then use that blog as a backlink to your own site when you are ready to get a host.

Very nice story. Reminds me of the 5 bucks a day ebook. The Dennis fellow that wrote it (runs a few IM memberships sites now) ran an adword ad for the Wii using ebay a couple of xmas ago maxing out all his ccs and made a mint and then made another writing an ebook about it. I tried to copy him with pretty mixed results (adwords sucks for me). But if you don't try...

Great post. I know there are always pre-launches for IM products but for physical products, how do you get a heads up or find out what they are? I know sometimes affiliate newsletters will tell you about things but in terms of stuff like guitar hero 3 etc etc there are a lot of competitors already that know about what is coming out.. I'd love a hint on that part.
