Would you rent DESKTOP with SEO Software

I do not have this business YET, I am looking at setting up a business to "rent" space on windows 2008 server loaded up with SEO software. I am not taking order, but more interested in Feedback on the idea for a business.

Here is what I am thinking:

Curious If anyone would be interested? I have most of this software, but not sure if the T&C would let me put it on one machine and setup user accounts and allow them to run it.

Any other gotcha's I might need to worry about?

There was a service here by a guy named hellomotow7 or something like that. He did the same thing but I think he was shut down. Not sure.

people used to rent desktops while clad was popular. but why would they get a desktop for seo software while a cheaper vps can do the same work with proxies and stuff at higher speeds?

maybe becouse those softwares costs money to buy? and its cheaper to pay to use his desktop than pay for example senuke x that costs 149$ month

RE:The license might be an issue. I still doing my research with this idea and I need to see if I can control that with the rights I would give the user.

RE: Why desktop vs VPS:
Need the horse power and as mentioned, with VPS, I would have to buy a license for each VPS that was started up, thus making the business case very hard if not impossible to work out.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea..

You mean like installing terminal services, and then installing apps, etc? Then they can remote desktop into their desktop. You can even define the icons and such. Very nice idea. But, some of the software will not allow multiple instances running.

You can think of something else, and put a twist on it, and become a very famous company like RackSpace.

i forget which site did it i would have to look it up but i think it was shut down or they shut it down. could not handle what they sold. The system keep crashing all the time.

sounds like a nice package deal but seo powersuite rank tracker definitely doesnt run on more than one machine at a time so you need multiple keys not sure how to work around this

It's an interesting idea the only thing i can see that would be a major problem is the licensing.
