Instead of worrying about the "Wix Ads" issue why don't you just take the template from a service like Template Monster. Find a template for around $65 - $80. Spread that into your price (instead of $250, offer websites for $300-$400) and spare yourself the stress.

You can show clients demos without having to buy the template.

You would loose the big advantage of wix : rapidity

View page source from your saved wix site..
Copy and save it into notepad as whatever.html..
then upload it to your own domain via filezilla??

How can I give my client a sample of how his site will look?

I don't mind paying the 10$ per month since I will let the client make up for it, but the only thing bothering me is a sample.
