Many people on BHW talk about Fiverr and their methods of making money there, so I decided to share my own method for making little extra from each gig on Fiverr.

Most of the complains about Fiverr are about the small amount of money the seller receive. Buyer pays $5 for the gig, out of which $1 goes to Fiverr and then 2% to Paypal if the seller withdraws the money before he reaches the 50$ amount. For withdraws of over $50 the tax is $1 for the whole amount, meaning that for $100 you will pay 1% which is still not good, considering this is 1/4 of a gig price.

So mostly $3,96-3,98 for each gig while some of the gigs are damn good and require lot of work. My gigs are one of these that require skills and time, but I love what I am doing so they are actually paying me for doing my hobby. On the other hand I look at these $3,96 as 396 cents, so while I was selling my gigs I always wanted to earn more than 396 cents.
Actually I found working method that gives me in some situations over 400 cents, without doing anything illegal or forcing the buyer to pay more.

The method is quite simple - I have lifetime FileSonic account and all the delivered work on Fiverr is uploaded to FileSonic. They pay me each download (I am on Pay Per Download plan). Here are the rates

So, when I have to deliver some work, I don't use the Fiverr's crappy file sharing system and just upload my files to FileSonic and provide the buyer a link from where he can download his file as many times as he wants.
So for example a US, UK or German buyer purchases from you a HD intro that is 450 MB and you provide him with two versions - with white and black backgrounds. When he downloads his files, you will earn $0,03 for each file or $0,06 total. If he wants a remake because of some type of misspelling, you upload the new version to FileSonic and you earn $0,03 additional. So my gig actually from $3,96 income magically turned into $4,05 pure income. If there are no revisions and you provide only two versions you still earn $0,06 from FileSonic. I have many other files on FileSonic, but I love when I have some little extra income from Fiverr, that motivates me not to close my Gigs. On top of that FileSonic waiting time is only 3 days (From Saturday to Tuesday) when you reach over $15 and 9 at the most and you don't have to pay taxes. All the income is yours and FileSonic pays you weekly.
While some people may say that $0,06 is not much I would say that for 100 Gigs I receive $6 more which is 1 and a half gig bonus, that is not bad at all (1,5% additional income).
Others people would say they don't provide HD videos, so this method is not good. WRONG. This method works for all the services that require proof, including SEO services, pictures and word documents. Just make sure that your files are over 1 MB and you will receive $0,007 additionally to each gig. Two Gigs - 1,4 cents more. One hundred gigs - you do the math. It is easy to make the files over 1 MB - just don't compress them and attach your services adds in the file - big PNG picture for example that will easily exceed the 1 MB.

Now comes the fun part - with my method I earn money even without selling anything on Fiverr.
For many of my gigs I am contacted privately to provide examples of my work, because the buyer wants to see if I am good. Okay, no problem. I uploaded examples of my work on FileSonic. Here is a link to my ten files I say - download them and see for yourself. Some of these people don't buy anything, but when they download 3-4 files, I earn $0,09-0,12 even without selling my gigs.

My method is not against any of the rules of Fiverr or FileSonic. In fact FileSonic motivates the use of their services for such situations (Young Creative Content Makers are always welcome there).

"All communications, information and files exchange should be performed exclusively using Fiverr's messaging system."

i'm only using external file hosts (mediafire) for delivering the order when i'm getting tired of their system after the 10th 'HTTP request failed' message

they should make an internal file host where you can upload your shit and when you deliver the order, just copy the direct link to the file and not uploading again and again the same file

Well, I am using exchange of files using Fiverr messaging system. Fiverr's file exchange system is crap and the limit of 50 MB limits the people who send larger files. So far no problems using FileSonic, because I am not revealing my personal information there or doing external communication. They still take the money from their gigs and I am not giving them extra load of their slow servers. Win-Win situation for everyone.

Another thing you can do is add some massive HD pics to anything to things to increase the file size. Throw in a "free" Hd video as a gift for purchasing your gig and make it like 1 g lol to make more money. People love free stuff and you love free money win win

It is not smart to place 1GB download to a person who purchased some SEO service from you, unless you show the work with a video, that would cost much more than $5.

But for someone who bought HD intro, he would want it in the best possible quality - giving him full quality raw file will make him very happy whatever the size of the download is.

For a SEO service that needs a report, 1.5 MB file is okay and will add you some extra for that $3,96 of earnings from which you outsourced to someone else for $2 and earn only $1.96. On fiverr every cent is important, because you are working for 400 cents anyway.

i didn't say you'll have a problem for sure if you're using external hosts (i'm also doing it from time to time and i didn't have any problem until now)

but if you want to play by their rules 100%, you won't use external file hosts, because it's against their TOS
i even asked the support about this a few months ago and they said it's not allowed

so use this "trick" at your own risk of course just in case if you care and you have a well-established fiverr account, not just disposable ones

I don't think fiverr allow to upload on other host

I won't risk my account for a few cents. Seems it's against their TOS

Simply because their uploading system sucks. And it is limited to 50 MB.

interesting - perhaps not something I will apply myself. But it definitely opened my eyes to different possibilities on things. Maybe In the future, as I might start doing some video editing gigs (off of Fiverr, as I am not going to spend 10-15 hours editing video for 5$ haha)

No. You can use free account without spending a dime and earn the same amount. With lifetime account your files don't get deleted after a while (they delete files one month after last download) and have unlimited downloads for other files etc. With fiverr it's not problem, cause nobody would want to download his gig file after a month anyway, but I prefer to have my files just in case. Of course you can reupload your gigs if someone wants it again.
As I said I host many other files (several TBs already) and I get thousands of downloaded files a day.
You can acquire free premium vouchers from filesonic - for trading points or earned money - lifetime account is 82.77$. I have several premium vouchers already, earned from the points that I give to my good referrals.
What's good about FileSonic is that it has Dropbox integration, making the synchro of the files much easier and the possibility to trade points in the game or money for vouchers, payout increase etc.

Of course this method works with the other file hosting companies as well. It's just that I found FileSonic the best over (m)oron, fuupload and the rest.

Leave out Fiverr TOS, i have read in other posts that we can send contact informations in fiverr attachments. So Paste your filesonic link in a notepad and attach it to fiverr telling the buyer that fiverr upload is slow, so download from the given link. Also you can give them your email id and other offers in that same notepad

You can but you're not allowed to. You're still at risk of getting banned. Many people here got banned for that.

For people that need over 50mb this is great imo. The problem is that fiverr are loose with the banhammer, i recently lost an account for no good reason

They don't ban for the fun of it. They are actually blocking another income stream of theirs. When you break their TOS they can't do anything but ban you.

If this TOS actually says "should" not "must", It is not a violation.

This is a good thing to find out, I sell graphics packages and always have to split them into 3 or more packages.

If you are completing 500 gigs a month (which is really pushing it) and for every single one of them you put up a link via Filesonic which is say 5MB, at MOST you will earn an additional $3.50 a month. They would rarely be downloaded more than once by a buyer.

Is going to the effort of uploading 500 files to filesonic worth $3.50?

Interesting... but just concerned on terms of service being violated.

This sort of tactic can hurt you in the long-term especially if your buyer is savvy to IM techniques he might acknowledge what you are doing and not become a repeat customer. Not to mention, it can get all your fiverr REP tossed in an instant if they catch you. Hopefully they won't.

FileSonic closed their affiliate program after the MegaUpload fiasco, but there are other file hosting services that pay per download. To the guy who says $0,02-$0.04 is not much, search the forum for the thread of a guy who was complaining for $0,08 which then turned into a discusion about $0.01 taken more by fiverr thanks to miscalculation.

To the guy who said that it is too much effor to upload the files - you have to upload them anyway, except if you don't give your customers direct access to your folders.

The whole BlackHat scene is based on risks taken. It's easy to measure the risk here, so it's up to you to decide if you can take it or stay on the safe side and receive what you see the books. Filesonic closed their affiliate program, but new hosts opened and as shared above, there is a twist of the method.
