Some Micro niche website related questions

I have a few micro niche related questions that I just couldnt find answers for through the search function Let me explain my situation first of all:

I wanted to try to get to a more steady and secure income so I decided to try a micro niche website. After 7 days I have done all on site seo, added 8 unqiue keyword filled articles and have done some social bookmarking to get me indexed. My website is now pr1 and on page 1 (yes page 1 but the last spot) but I am wondering what would be my best way to get myself to spot 1.

No, I am not trying to rush things and I am prepared to invest some time but I just want to do things right

I have a couple of other quick questions that I would like to ask as well:
1) How long does it usually take to notice some more serious traffic? I am currently getting about 5 uniques a day
2) How long do you hold on to your micro niche website until you decide that it may be better to simply sell it and move on?

Hi i am here all most same condition.I started a MN around 2 weeks ago.After posting article and on page seo i did around 100 manual forum posting(targeted),200( blog comment-pr2-4) 200 social bookmarking and directly posted to 50 free blogging platform.I noticed today my site is on number 4 of the first page.I am thinking to buy some gigs from fiverr for getting position one but after around 2 weeks.
