Okay, I have been reading various IM blogs, forums(been at BHW for short time but I'm already in love:D), etc for a LONG time. All while attempting absolutely NOTHING!

What I want to ask is, what do you recommend to be the best learning experience?

I was thinking maybe I could do some type of micro-niche site(s) using clickbank or adsense, or maybe amazon, to earn money from the site.

My reason for this idea were that it would 'expose' me to various things IM. In turn providing me with a better understanding of this industry.
But I'm open to anything.

What do you think would be 'best'?

Just to clarify, I'm NOT asking you guys to tell me what will make me the most money. I am asking what would be the best path to take in order to gain a better understanding, I know I probably won't make much, if anything, starting off. I simply don't want to go down one path, make little-to-no money AND LEARN NOTHING. I will have some money and a lot of time in a couple weeks so I want to start soon.

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated, translation = your $0.02 are accepted.

Something along the lines of article marketing would give you the keyword experience you need. I think just about everything in IM starts with knowing how to find a niche. In other words you've got to know how to find a hungry crowd before you can give it what it wants. Article marketing would also give you the practical experience of writing good content. It's easy to do, costs nothing to start, and unless you just want to get into the adwords, facebook ads, etc., type of thing, it is another essential.

The light first came on for me when I read Travis Sago's "Bum marketing" writings. Maybe that term would be a good thing to Google.

I'm sure more experienced members of this forum may have other ideas...

Write articles, sell services on fiverr, create a blog, twitter traffic, etc...

There are so many ways you can make money without investment :)

id start for a first site with a white hat one ... signup for adwords, adsense, analytics, webmastertools from google ... find a emd in a subject that you think is easy to write about ... practice writing content that doesnt suck ... use the various google tools to watch the traffic to the various pages and see which ones are better learn from those .. write more .. repeat ....

start working on back links and other traffic sources ...

once that site is nice and rolling start buying more domains and expand ... start looking to the darkside for more traffic and $$

try to stay in subject you enjoy and can do easy research on ... they may not pay as much but the eaiser writing will allow you to do more and better of it ... who cares if a niche pays more do you want to look at pictures of dead animals getting sodomized by midgets all day while working? or if it becomes publicly known that you own a domain will it cause you tremendous shame/social trouble ... thats my take i avoid anything topic i wouldnt tell my church/grandma ...

It's been said that it doesn't matter that you get it right, just get it going. In other words, don't get bogged down trying to find the 'best' method. Pick whatever appeals the most and give it a go. As you can see just by browsing this forum, some people are into social media, some do blogging, article marketing, affiliate sites... the list goes on. All of them work when done properly, each method has pros & cons, and each has tons of info available for free if you search for it.

Oh, the next most important thing is to stick with it. Nothing, repeat, nothing is going to bank until you've put some work into it, don't believe the hype. (Unless, of course, you already have an impressive pile of cash to invest.) Don't give up!

post a classified ad and when they email you send em your affiliate link to the right niche

I personally started with small adsense sites. You'll learn keyword research, SEO, content writing, ad placement, promoting, and these skills proved useful in many other areas of IM.

And whatever you decide to do, it probably won't come as easy as you first thought... Just stick with it, and you'll be succesful.

And as SSL9000J said, just start taking action as soon as possible! It's easy to get caught up reading about every method to make money, but it's important to just pick one method and stick with it. Don't try 650561 methods at the same time, you'll just get overwhelmed and half-ass all of them, trust me :P

Good luck with it!

Well for what ever reason I couldn't reply with my original post. [ BHW =( ]

But anyway.
AT - lala: the adsense thing is what I am thinking because that way I could focus on one method and learn various aspects of IM.

AT - everyone else: sorry I did quote everyone and replied to everyone but I was not allowed to post, nonetheless, your input is appreciated.

i agree with article marketing
you will learn how to keyword optimize articles which is important
you will also learn about backlinks, SEO, and keyword research
do article marketing to sell affiliate products, clickbank is a good network to start with
submit these articles to ezine as well as other high traffic article directories
i hope this helps

I had some good luck in the past with Unique Article Wizard, Word Press, and a tool called PHPBay. I'm not sure if those tools are still around, though. Best of luck!

Best starting method? hard to say, maybe free blog and adsense is good starting.

Thanks guys, I won't be able to start(attempt lol) any type of micro-niche website(s) until, maybe about 2 or 3 weeks. Sooo, tomorrow I'm going to start my endeavors in article marketing.

What do you reccomend I do for my affiliate links? shorten them with one of those free things (I forget what they're called), or buy domains?

1) keyword research

2) buy emd

3) setup wp

4) decide whether to go autoblog (buy wp-robot, money well spent) or do natural content, or hybrid of both

5) add adsense

Go from there .. just take action like other people have said. Its trial and error that will get you farhter.

definitely buy .com domains if you have the money to spend

definitely buy domains if you have the money to spend

Pay day's tomorrow so I'll have some money.

If you use domains and then redirect, do you need hosting? I'm assuming you do not?
