There's a certain percentage of the population that will believe anything they read and in fact, the crazier the subject matter, the better. Billions have been made selling to these people. If you have half a knack for getting these people to identify with you, you're in the money. Once in a while someone comes along that truly speaks their language, and these people hang on their every word, then you end up with something like Jonestown (google it)

These days you can sell anything.
