I've read several people suggest making business accounts for various reasons. Just wondering if you can only make a business account if you have an officially registered business.

1) Does PayPal ask for documentation?
2) Is it illegal to make an account without a properly documented business? Or does your account just get locked down until you can provide documentation?
3) Would a personal account you hold with the same details as that business account also be locked?

I have no intentions to do anything that would get me into legal trouble.

1) Not at first... but it could later on, I've had a business account for years without any questions
2) I don't think so, I could be a business man without owning a business.
3) Any account holding the same info as another account could get limited or possibly deleted.

Thanks for the response! Very helpful. Just one clarification:
PayPal allows one Business account and one personal account for each person, so they would not limit/delete an account just for having the same details if the two accounts were different types. My question was, if they limited the business account just because of lack of documents, would they also limit any personal account owned by the same business owner?

If I have limited personal account can I have business account ?
