How to Create And Deliver a Professional Ecourse

I look at all of the crap that is marketed now a days and say to myself I never want to turn into that kind of marketer. I want to deliver strictly professional quality instruction, the kind that you see selling for $500 minimum. I have the course outlined, all I need to know is how to go about creating it and delivering it to my audience.

Should I market it the widely used way, setting up a graphically intense mini site with a several thousand word sales letter and providing only down-loadable course materials?

Should I do it the more professional(in my mind) way, by creating a clean corporate looking website and deliver the course through software such as moodle? I could possibly throw in a physical product such as a book transcript and/or dvds that get sent to the person's house. Should I make a video sales page or keep it as text only?


Which one of these or any other methods would be best for yielding the most profit and exposure?

Also, should I setup an affiliate program using something like clickbank and take advantage of the mass of affiliates or should I go for an affiliate program(inexpensive) that is of more professional quality?
Can you guys give your opinion on these questions and any other things that I should take note of?

The reason long sales letters are still used is because they work. If they didn't, no-one would be using them. These "gurus" might pump out a lot of junk, but they do a LOT of testing so by reverse engineering their processes, you usually can't go wrong.

The difference between a $97 product and a $1997 is usually just percieved value. I've seen plenty of $XX courses that are better than $XXXX courses - but generally speaking, if it's presented well and you have social proof you can charge what you like (within reason).

That said, it does depend on your target market. Who are you targeting? What's your niche?

It's a branch of the Internet Marketing industry. Very original and never been done before. I think it will sell well if marketed correctly.

What sort of proof do you have that whatever you're selling works?

If you think it would be widely appealing, Clickbank could be a good option for ease of use and is generally easier to recruit affiliates. Gives you less flexibility though.

You could start with a WSO as a cheap way to test the product and the response. If it goes well, you can make some improvements and launch it "properly". A WSO marketed well can easily net you mid five figures and as your first product it's a cheap way to get exposure and reviews.

I personally used vervante. They have a good support team. I used them to ship my e-book. Before you send them the product, you get their name and e-mail address. This way you will build your own mailing list.

2. After you send them the product for free, you send them to the next step of the process, which is an UPSELL. Here you can put a monthly newsletter. This way you will have ongoing income, month after month. This will be like the money from your retirement. You know Robert Kyiosaki's book, "Retire young, retire rich"?

3. The next step is another UPSELL. In this upsell, you will put a product with a price range from 197$ to 500$. This is will give you instant money.

Basically this is a step-by-step process, that you can use to make more money from the same amount of traffic.

Send them the whole course for free or just a part of it? Could I not just make a different course and give that one away for free, then use the full course as the $197 to $500 product?

Don't send them the whole course for free. Just compile some great and useful content and give it away for free. The whole course should be used as an UpSell. Give away an 50 page ebook for example.In that ebook write about some strategies that your prospects can use right away and get them results. Be smart. Pre-sell your course. By that i mean this...
Imagine you have an apple and you want to sell it. The only problem is that no one tried your apple before and doesn't know his taste. To solve this, you cut a small piece of the apple and give it away for free, so they will know how it tastes. That is pre-selling.
If they will like the apple, you then sell it for a bigger price. Get the picture?
