Instead of answering questions and leaving a bitly or a straight up affiliate link ( and getting banned lol) find a forum in the niche and answer someones question on there ( or ask your own and answer it with 2 accounts), should have your affiliate link in the signature or the post, depends on the rules of the forum. So in the yahoo answers question give a vague answer and in the source put the link to the thread.

Now you don't have to buy a top level domain and redirect it, and you get double the exposure.

That's a stupid method, seriously.

If someone or your competitor reports you, you will get banned from your affiliate network as this is against their rules (SPAMMING).

It is such methods that drives newbies or users posting in BHW: "XXX network is a scam :zx11pisse" or "OMG what I did wrong.. I was banned from XXX network.. BOOHOO BOOHOO!"

Just don't use it. It's a waste of time anymore.

Mostly happened to newbies :D

I really don't understand how this method is stupid. I guess you haven't tried Y!A before..

The OP has a point. You will get double the amount of conversions if you do it PROPERLY.

Even if you buy a domain and use a redirect, people can still report you. lol.

I think posting anything related to your affiliate link on yahoo answers is a bad idea as well. Generally people on answers don't like links, and can end up reporting you.

Instead of placing your affiliate link, you can always place a link to your site if it is related to the question you are answering of course, this will result in minor traffic to your site but more importantly a backlink from yahoo answers which is an authority site.

I thought the OP was onto something but then he mentioned something about a vague answer. All you superminds understand this about the internet. RELEVANCE IS KING. YOU WILL NOT GET BANNED FOR BEING RELEVANT. sway off topic just a tad and you will be flagged, banned, stoned, etc.

Op you had a good idea by being relevant and posting your aff.link on the forum but when your answering questions you should be as relevant also and using your forum link for MORE info which however includes your aff.link. BE RELEVANT. BOTTOM LINE.

Anyone telling you not to use yahoo answers for a traffic source wants you to continue paying for traffic, why would you not want to funnel traffic from one of the top 5 visited sites on the internet baffles me. Just because they don't allow you to spam it to death doesn't mean it's not worth it, if you actually contributed in the answers you wouldnt get banned and would actually see the laser targeted traffic it could deliver if you weren't a superhero.

Placing any link can get you banned.

Just use software with proxies and tons of accounts, answer no more than 2-3 questions per account because you don't want all your questions removed for a ban.

Placing any link is not going to get you banned as long as the information is informative and you are not pushing a product from the link, yahoo answers would not give you the ability to place a link if they were going to ban you for using them in your answers that is just stupid.

if you don't link to a page that sells you'll do alright but if you market on yahoo just get used to getting accounts banned often. Its part of the shame lol.. sometimes i just post a tweet on twitter and post in answers. but hell i get accounts banned every day. But 40 questions on a level 2 account always makes me back my money.

I spam the shit out of yahoo answers and make more money than you'd think.

Does Yahoo track IP addresses? If you use a ton of IP addresses from all over the US for a single account, isn't that a flag for Yahoo?
