Wow this is a great inspiration for design. I think their done with the usual software for design and video editing After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, logic pro etc.

In the comments it says that the video was created with Adobe After Effects, doing something similar with Flash would be way more complicated and it'd took much more time. At least now you know what software was used, now find some tutorials, "kinetic typography" might help, google it.

I like this video style. If you practiced and got a good technique going you could create a lot of videos off of pop-culture sound bytes that would be good for marketing affiliate programs and sites.

Known as Kinetic Typography, it is a form of animation that centers mostly on moving text. Simple enough in concept, but it can lend itself to some truly amazing and complex animations if done properly.
