Exclamation AffiliateTrades.com is back!

Some of you may remember, early this year/late last year, a site coming out called AffiliateTrades.com.

And it was doing well, however the webmaster Shane, or DaKnightFall as he was known here, was a major slacker. The site over a few months tanked from his lack of webmastery and lack of work ethic. I swooped down and snatched it up from him to return it to it's former glory.

Those whom do not know what AffiliateTrades.com is, listen up:

It's an excellent way to make some dough online. We basically trade affiliate incentivized offer links and complete the offers for each other.

You do someones offer, they get paid, they pay you points. Someone does your offer, you get paid, you pay someone else points. It's very give and take.

All you need is a little brain power and some incentivized offer with links and your pretty much good to go.

AffiliateTrades.com is still invite only! So if you want to try it out just pm me or e-mail me your email adress. I've done a total overhaul of the site so I kind of want to stager people.

It really doesn't get any easier than this.

Oh yeah, for right now it's FREE! I plan to run memberships at $5-$10/month in a few weeks, but you can easily make that in an hour on the site when it gets rocking.

Please leave feedback for others to see also. I'm not going to lie the site is a ghost town right now so it'll take a little bit to get back to where it was, but it did it once it can do it again.

I hope you didn't pay more than $50 for it no offense. Affiliate Trades didn't suck because of Shanes work ethic, it sucked because:

A. The CPA companies were in there like swim wear the first week the thing was open and sniping affiliates left and right.

B. The members are useless, only care about their own offers being done and use fake information 90% of the time.

If you address those problems, you'll have something, if not, sadly that site will suffer the same fate as version 1.

I sent you a PM.

And I actually did heard about this site. I heard it was decent for a period of time and gradually declined.

Don't worry I didn't pay too much for it.

Although I don't have all the answers, I am heavily against the use of fake information and will do all in my power to remove those people from the site. I know it won't stop people from doing it, but being diligent could be the key to winning the battle.

I dont think its something you can control, the odds that affiliates will care enough to be thorough are slim unless you can get something written into the code to verify info.

Also, it doesnt change the fact that its on virtually every networks radar and and you would need to make it a private invite only system to keep them out, which of course would take a long time to get enough members and even then it only takes one or two aff company moles to sneak in and start canning affiliates.

Im not trying to be hard on you, just let you know where the issues with trading sites lie and that you have a battle to face before the site can really get going let alone switch to paid membership.

By the way, step 1 would be to move the script to a new domain.

Sounds like a great idea but too many holes to fill, please post if someone has gotten good results with this.

Sorry to hear that some of you guys paid for an account. I assume it was someone selling invites, which is a no-no under my administration.

Frankly I feel when the site was first created it was so centered around, being scamy - period. His bullshit black hat e-books, making it OK for people to charge for invites, and the such.

And there is nothing illegal about the idea, the illegal part is people committing fraud, and the affiliate networks will deal with that, and the affiliate won't get canned if he handles it right. The affiliate has to be diligent with his AM's and make sure that fraudulent leads are being scrubbed, and figure out who submitted them. I personally for my offers have a system in place where I could ask my AM's for certain information and find that out. If an offer is incentivized and the info is good, theirs not much that can be done.

I will also be removing the option to post offers for PPC ads, that's straight up click fraud no matter how you cut it, it hasn't been removed yet but will be soon - been just overhauling the hell out of everything.

Heck, I'm willing to work with any affiliate network[s] out there that wants to make this work - I'm not afraid of that. It's whether or not they are willing to extend the help to do it. Because frankly if everyone can be happy, we all win.

@Flyboy: About a week and a half ago. I left all accounts intact in case some old members decided to come back, so if you remember your account name pm me. Bizkiller the same to you. I'll see what I can do.

That's definitely the most problematic part of it, and how do you dissuade desperation? The people that are most interested in a concept like this are either not successful in their current campaigns or hard up for money. Therefore the members actually spending $ (usually have to on incent, even if it's just shipping costs) is sometimes a hard thing to ask. They can sit there and fill out free offers, surveys, etc too, but there is this ongoing issue of fraud, it sucks because I've had to deal with it too.

The idea itself is cool, however targeting the actual interested buyers of the products would probably be the most ideal way to go. *wink *wink
