I have quite some experience when it comes to domain parking.
I find that a good way to invest your money is to buy or even register revenue domains.
You get them for around a 12 revenue months multiple for trademark typo's like:
www.wwwmicrosoft*com

The return is good but there is always the risk of a C & D letter. I recommend using private whois from Moniker.com and to just ignore those letters, a lot of times nothing will happen. In worst case scenario they'll take the domain from you but you'll have at least delayed it and most likely earned your money back already.
It's recommend to not spent al your money on 1 trademarked typo domain but spread the risk.

For generic domains that recieve natural type-in traffic you'll have to pay big bucks if you buy from resellers.
Since these domains have generic value and recieve an 'endless' stream of revenue you'll end up paying 7 years+ for good ones. So it's worth it to look for good deals and contact owners by whois who aren't monetizing their generic domains.

I mainly use Parked.com , domainsponsor and Sedo.com for domain parking. It's recommended to use the Google Keywords tool to select a high paying keyword matching your domains category: h**ps://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

If you need any more help feel free to ask, just sent me a pm.
I'm not sure if this is the info you were looking for or if you wanted to know more bh stuff regarding this subject. To be honest I dont have experience with that.

Two which work for me:
-Read the news and hope to find some newly hyped up topic
-immediately jot down on paper what you'd type in to search for that online
-add .com to the end of those phrases/keywords, and register those domains
-drop any which don't get any traffic within the first 24 hours and get a refund (its called domain tasting)

##

-Monitor droplists for domains expiring
-Check the internet archive for a cached copy of the site to see if you can determine how big it was
-Check search engines for the domain to further investigate how popular it was
-Grab it the minute it expires, and park it.

Frankly I've been making more money putting up simple blogs with adsense, or recreating the original sites which people let expire than putting up a parked page....

Here's 3 relatively mild yet simple blackhat techniques with parked pages. One I've never seen mentioned before, but is so obvious I'm surprised nobody is doing it but here goes:

1. Go to any wifi hotspot, my favorite is downtown or near apartment buildings where there are many unprotected ones to latch on to.
Then proceed to click a few ads, change your IP, then click some more, never exceeding 2 or 3 clicks a session.
The trick is to alternate browsers and fake the user-agent as much as possible, as well as keeping the times of day random if you can

2. Use an autohits system like sh*alom. They're spammy as hell, and can possibly even cause your pc to get spyware, but if you use a linux PC, and let it go all day, you'll not only get lots of impressions but people sometimes click too. Not sure what the referers look like for this personally, but I've been doing this every day for 8 months and nobody's complained to me about the traffic

3. My favorite is unclickable links. Goto some really popular forum or picture post site with comments and just post your site using hxxp:// instead of http://. This means that the person has to copy-paste it into the address bar, and convert to http to check out your site. This forces type-in traffic. The number of visitors and conversions might be lower than posting a clickable link, but you just have to find a way to mass post it at various places and it works wonders.
I have a few crons running every 5 minutes that post to several message boards using CURL that do this for me. It brings in a few hundred visitors daily per site.

I'm feeling generous so here's another couple of twists of my #3 method which also work:

4. Youtube watermarking. We all know how to do it to generate traffic to a CPA offer, so why not a parked page? Just don't post a clickable url, only embed a watermark in the video so that the user has to manually type it in. This method works great for absolutely anything, especially product vids and how-to vids which a parking provider might have ads related to

5. Picture-post traffic. We've all heard of 4chan, and I love their traffic and users cause they're extremely desperate and horny. Most of the time I use this method to harvest their traffic to send to my porn sites, but you 'can' send them to the right kind of parked page as well to earn some extra cash. Simply post what they want, PORN. Raid the hardcore section and watermark/paste your url along the top or bottom of some really nasty porn pics and start posting. Since they'll have to type it in to visit the site, it's exactly what the parked providers want, type-in traffic. It's really as simple as that. If the users ever want ''MOAR'' then give it to em
