[White Hat] Easy Noob-friendly Online/Offline Method [200th Post]
Hi,
this is just a simple method for noobs that I'm going to post because I want to have a special 200th post. I'll probably post a better belated 200th post method in the Jr Vip section, but I want to post something so I'm just going to post this really quick. It's a good little method that can make some money for noobs and is completely white hat.
Here it is:
Post in LOCAL craigslist or classified site that you want to buy old, used, or broken iphones. (If you're really serious you might find some bulk deals for salvaged iphones at liquidation.com)
Go to gazelle.com and click on "Trade in your iphone for cash" and see how much they're worth at the time and the people from the classified sites 50%-75% of that price.
Then turn around and sell it on gazelle.com. The worst you can get paid is $30 and that is for a completely broken first gen iphone without any cords, which is literally worth nothing to most people.
If you don't want to use classified sites, just ask your friends. You can do this with almost any electronics except iphones pay really well and many people have/had them at one point. Later and working models are worth even more.
TIP: Find an affiliate and get their code to give you a 5% pay increase. The one I use is from Tech News Today. The code is: TNT
Enjoy and I hope you make some money,
LiamLC

That is a really good method. I guess it could be extended to other phones using phonexchange and others such 'trade in your phone' sites. With cheaper phones you may be able to get phones for free by pushing the environmental side of things about not sending phones to landfill. It is deff something I plan to look into doing at some point. Have you done this? How much did you made/how many hours did it take?

Ya well you can use gazelle for much more than just iphones. I have not implemented this method as a source of income for my self because I do other things instead. But this method does work and can make you some good money.

Re: [White Hat] Easy Noob-friendly Online/Offline Method [200th Post]
Hi Liam! Thanks for this method.
could you please explain the liquidation part more? I'm looking at an ad and it says '
Quantity in Lot: 10' Does this mean I get 10 iphones for the price listed in the ad? Or is it that price for each of the phones in the lot?

Re: [White Hat] Easy Noob-friendly Online/Offline Method [200th Post]
Unless otherwise noted as a wholesale lot price, usually the price would be per phone (which you can tell if the price listed in the ad makes 'sense' given the quantity). If this is a case where someone is offering 10 broken ones at a lump sum price, then it sounds like you could score big on it! Just ask the seller to be sure, then wait for the potential surprise

Not to knock your idea or method but honestly I was expecting something about IM and here we have a "method" that is akin to scavenging for copper. If I were a dope head I would be all over this idea...

I think this is a very good idea especially if you can buy those broken phones at a very cheap price... Very nice method!

I don't really get what your saying. This is nothing like scavenging for copper. You go use website that can provide you with a product (i.e. craigslist and liquidation) then resell it for more on another website (i.e. gazelle). The dropshipping and wholesale forum on bhw is based around the same concept and this is an IM forum. Maybe I totally misunderstood what you were saying, but anyways, sorry to disappoint you.
P.S. Just a note to everybody: Lots of people seem to be doing really well using liquidation. You should really check it out.

Just sent in an old, pink 4GB Nano (2nd Gen). They said I'll get $24 for it.. let's see how much I actually get, haha.
Thanks for this bro

Re: [White Hat] Easy Noob-friendly Online/Offline Method [200th Post]
How do I know if the phone is in poor fair good or perfect condition? What if my interpretation of the condition is different then theirs? I could possible loose quite a bit of money if you check the difference in pay for the qualities.

If you put the mouse over it, it explains how to judge each one.

Then I recommend going on liquidation and buying a lot of salvaged iphones.
TIP to everybody:
If you want to put in the extra work, selling them on eBay could make you more money than gazelle.
