I was trying to download yours - that last post was to you.

The problem is there is still a rar password on yours.

I just checked again on another computer and it is asking for a password.

WARNING! Do not download any BANS scripts from Rapidshare they are all modded to steal your affillate commissions. When the script asks you to put in your EPN number it will change when you save it. Don't waist your time.

This has nothing to do with any rapidshare bans files. It was actually an error in how they configured the mysql database when they released this version.

In the database.sql file thats included in the store directory scroll to the bottom

look for this:

`cj_pid` int(11) NOT NULL default '0',

change that to this:

`cj_pid` varchar(15) NOT NULL default '0',


Thats it. A simple programming error in the script, they released an official release to fix this you can find it on their forums. Make sure to change that before installing the script onto your server.

Abansb, can you explain what these files are for? I mean would like to install Bans 3.0 from the above downloads but dont know which zip to go with first. Then what do i do with all the other zips? What are they for? Are they updates and if so how do i apply them and in what order. Im confused.

I can't say that I recommend this software, otherwise I'd suggest you buy it. Just to warn you, this software is not a get rich quick scheme - it will require a LOT of effort to get the free search engine placement you need and even then the conversion rate will probably be low. Don't even try this outside of the English speaking countries, as Ebay is pretty much useless. Good luck.

Someone isn't telling the whole truth here. In the version 3.0, They were using the CJ Pid number. Now everybody knows that ebay has migrated their affiliate inhouse to epn. How do you configure bans 3.0 to use the epn campaign id # and not the old CJ PID? ANYBODY KNOWS? I think thats why most people aren't making as much money as they used to cause I find it hard to believe ebay would give you credit for traffic while not using epn tracking url. Correct me if I'm wrong.

after you install the Bans 3.0 you need to apply the campaign id fix this will allow you to use your EPN campaign number where the CJ PID number used to be it was a script error when it was coded. Then if you want to use PJ then apply the EPN to PJ update

1st install bans epn 3.0

2nd install campain ID Fix

3rd if you want to migrate to PJ install the EPN to PJ update

in this order

it's odd that it works for all of you, i've tried it on two different local web dev applications and on both i keep getting

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in C:\www\vhosts\test\cont\cont.php on line 4

I can fix it by adding \"/\\" to the line in question where I assumed the issue was, it passes insallation when I do that but then there are many errors on the setup admin area...

Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks abansb! Man, you saved me a ton of work. I was starting to wonder why I had no commissions from my last two stores; but they were only a couple weeks finished, so I just checked yesterday to be sure I even entered a campaign ID. Some bastard was probably making a few bucks (whoever the ID was). I tried Jahpo's suggested fix (database.sql) and it didn't work for me as I already had the store installed. I thought sure as shit I would need to just start all over. Thanks for posting the ID fix; Much Appreciated!

Does anyone know whether the BANS script calls-back ?

Also, does g00gle index such stores fairly easily? i.e. compared to WP type e3bay stores?

far as I know there is no call-backs I have had quit a few bans sites up for almost a year now and have not had any problems with google they are all indexed they don't get index quit as quick as a WP blog or store as long as you set it up right you will have no problems at all

also I have delete the files from my server due to not enough space but I have upgraded my server so if anyone needs the files agian let me know I will re-upload them to the server
