Default Jonathan a.k.a. DejaCrew - PayPal Dispute Filed Over Undelivered Course

I just filed a PayPal dispute for either delivery of the balance of the course or a return of my $100.00. I suggest everyone else who paid Jonathan via PP do the same. Numerous complaints/refund requests will likely add more weight and credibility to any claims. Here's what I wrote:

Quote:
Payment was for a 30 day course on how to make money on the Internet, beginning June 23, 2008 ("The course will be happening entirely via email, and the first mail will go out on the 23rd."). I and several others (perhaps 10 or more) paid $100.00 for the course. My (our) last email from Jonathan was received on July 12th, and contained course material through day 19. Since then, he has not responded to my emails, nor, according to forum posts by others of the group, to messaging or PMs or any other form of communication. The first 19 days are worthless to me without the rest of the course, and I want the balance of the course delivered to me via email no later than 12:00 noon, July 24, 2008 (US Pacific Daylight time) or I want my money returned immediately for failure to deliver the full promised course content.

I wish you good luck. Unfortunately, my experience with paypal has shown that they are unlikely to do anything. They hide behind the fact that their TOS states that they will only refund / investigate physical products. Ever since I had this kind of experience, I only use paypal in combination with a credit card (VCC) that allows me to make a charge back. But I guess the ultimate lesson is to do your due diligence.

All the best

Exactly how many emails did you receive from him? I only received 11.

Default Some info

Hiya,

The actual number of emails I received was up to day 7. However, between the lesson emails and the rar files that he sent, I do have lessons 1 to 19, in total.

In case the above doesn't answer your question, maybe these posts will help you a lil more :

Shit, I was so happy doing some offline gold these past cuple weeks, leaving this hanging, thinking I'm coming back to some good stuff...GUESS I WAS WRONG. I hate losing money, even if it's $5...

Dammit, I just sent him an email a couple days ago asking for the zip package of days 14-30 he said he'd send me...now I can just rest assured it ain't coming if the first wave people aren't getting their crap...

Sorry man, sorry to everyone who got let down by this...I just feel stupid cause I told a couple people the material was coming through OK (at the time), to sign up, you won't regret it...damn it!

I hope Jonathan has this on his f*cking Google Alerts like he says he has everything on...

So I assume S&W is part of the first group, how about you Cyber?

You're probably right.

I'm not a rich man. At age 60, I'm still working 40-50 hours/week for less than $30K/yr. So the stolen hundred hurts a bit. But even more, I'm one of those old school guys -- a nine-year Army, two-tour Vietnam vet -- who hates being f**ked over ... for any amount. Especially with him preaching all the spiritual bullsh*t he wrote about, and the good, beneficial things the money was going towards.

As I said in another thread, he'd better be in the hospital or in jail. There aren't any other acceptable excuses. And if it's not one of those two, then I'd love to see how his magical, mysitcal ninja monk crap holds up against my .40 cal Smith & Wesson.

Something tells me by looking at your username that you really are packing a .40 cal S&W.

Also, your "magical, mystical, ninja monk" cracks me up. I think I'll write a t.v. pilot for it.

I already opened and closed a Paypal dispute, never received a damn thing until I opened it and got reply from him within 24 hours. He did send me days 1 - 13 and promised to send the rest if I closed the dispute which I did and to date I haven't heard a thing from him and that was well over 2 weeks ago...

Pity really as the stuff I have is worth reading, hopefully the rest will be forthcoming but I'm not holding my breath!

Tony

PS I did manage to get days 14 - 19 by contacting another member and proving I had made the purchase. It's a fine example of how not to do business.

Did any of you use your credit cards? Challenge it with the CC FIRST-- they will tell PP about the challenge. Most CC have a very picky rule about fulfilling orders completely... try it --it can only help.. But my suggestion is to act fast. PP will TAKE the money back out of Dejajerks acc't THEN HE MUST MAKE IT RIGHT OR PROVE HIS INNOCENCE. Why? Cuz' the CC took the money from PP first!...

OK, check this out. I opened a claim to get my money back from this prick and it took all of 5 minutes to receive this reply from PayPal:

You have chosen to escalate your dispute to a PayPal claim. By ending
communication with the seller, you are asking PayPal to investigate the
case and decide the outcome. As part of our investigation, PayPal reviewed
any communication you may have had in the Resolution Center.

Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
refund.

I guess I'll just have to get it back from my CC company.
