You get paid per upload or only when someone buys your image?

Per upload, and different amounts, depending on the size of the photo they buy.

They only pay for downloads. So your pics can't be s*h*i*t.

Sorry, thought he meant upload by the buyer, not the seller. I meant download, they pay per download.

yeah so it looks like some kind of arbitrage...heres an idea >>

Go to photography forums >
Send users a PM saying you will buy their photos for .10 each >
Upload to iStock

For a few dollars you might get a couple of hundred photos to test this out..

This sounds good.
These days in every household there are multiple dig. cams (at least in the western world).
People shoot millions of dig. pics.
I bet they get excited when someone comes along and is even willing to pay for their pics.
Just 100 pics that are collecting dust on their HD just made them 10 bucks.

Everybody will be happy.

That's true. But I think the only way you will get a genuine unique pic is when you shoot it yourself.

And I don't think that's what the system is about. Too much labour to make that amount of money.

Keep thinking though people.
We're having some clever ideas here.

There are plenty of photography students around wanting to promote pictures... work out a deal with them.
