Ok, this is really simple and definitely not a "new" technique, but it works really well.

If you're not doing it, I would highly suggest it.

Ok.

Step 1.
Go find an offer.

• Clickbank
• CJ
• CPA
• etc

I chose clickbank for this example:

It's one of the better-selling bodybuilding offers.

Step 2.
Sign up for Aweber or icontact


Step 3.
Create a compelling squeeze page.

I used a simple generator, but really it can be very very simple.

If you don't want to make it yourself just search on google for squeeze page generator.

Here's mine for this example.

Step 4.
Forward the "thank you" link in your optin form to your affiliate link

Step 5.
Enter in the offer page into google's tool to find the main kw's:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Step 6.
For each main keyword, Search in google for "kw + tips" for example: dog training tips

It doesn't matter if it makes sense or not.

This will bring up a lot of sites that will most likely have newsletters, or ezines on their sites.

Write up a template email similar to this:

Subject:
Advertising?

Body:
Hello,

I have a really high quality product about _____ that really trying to get the word out about.

I came across your site, and I'm extremely impressed.

I noticed that you have a newsletter.

Do you offer advertising to it?

If so, let me know. I would be very interested.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

And go email all the site owners with this email. If you can't find the email on the page, use whois, or the contact forms.

You'll get some responses, but you'll definitely have to email a LOT of sites.

One of the ones that I got really great response from was:
criticalbench.com

Step 7.
Negotiate a good rate to email their list about your offer.

Here are some key points:

1. Ask them how many subscribers.
2. Subscribe to their list to see how the emails are.
3. Only request a solo mailing. You don't want to be a "sponsored ad"
4. Usually, the ones that work best are ones that don't have advertising prices posted on their site. You want to find "mom and pop" sites.
5. Make sure they're using a 3rd party responder that you're familiar with.
6. Make sure you get to control the entire subject line and email.
7. Ask them how many clicks they typically get from a mailing. Cut that amount in half, then do the calculations to get an idea of how much you should be paying.
8. Ask them for a "test price" that's a little lower. And tell them that you'll be a regular if it works out.

Step 8.

When you've negotiated a rate that you're happy with, write up a good, compelling email.

Write the whole email like you're just writing to a friend of yours.

One of the best subject lines for me that consistently crushes it is:

-----------------------------------------------
got a little something for ya
-----------------------------------------------

And I always start the email with a lowercase letter because that's how I always type to my friends.

Then the email is usually just a really casual recommendation to go check it out.

Something like:

hey,

if you're trying to get back into shape, you should really check this out:

I've tried everything, and nothing really worked. But this has been amazing, because I'm actually getting some killer results.

I'm actually gaining muscle now, and it's only been a few weeks.

That was just off the top of my head, but you get the idea. Just something really simple.

Step 9.
Build a list, and get a check when they blast out

Step 10.
Keep mailing the list related offers, and keep profiting.

Step 11.
When your list starts to get big, start looking for others with big lists that you can do swaps with to double up.

Step 12.
Add more traffic methods:

• CPV
• PPC
• SEO
• Articles
• Press Releases
• Banners
• Content Network
• Forum Posting
• Review Blogs
• Youtube Videos <== This one works really well too. Check these out:

That account took me all of about 3 hours to set up, and look how many views it got.

Also, look how the video is set up. This gets regular signups and sales.


I know it seems simple, but this is exactly how I make 20-30k from list blasts a month.

I know it sounds an awful lot like work, but I just snagged one of my buddies and followed him around the gym with a cam for 20 mins.

One thing that I found works just as well is creating a quick powerpoint. You don't actually need a person in the video or anything when uploading to youtube.

Also, I've used amazon turk to create these videos before for relatively cheap.

I'm sorry, I just realized I didn't explain that very well.

You've asking the site owner to send your email to their list.

When they blast it out to their list, the people click to go to your squeeze page, opt in, and then see your offer.

At this point you have them on your list.

From one blast from criticalbench.com I had almost 1000 responsive, targeted people on my list.

I've made a lot of money off that small list, and keep in mind, that's just from one blast.

Ok, no problem.

1: When you set up your optin form in aweber, it lets you customize the link that the "optee" will see after opting in. That's what I'm calling the thank you link. That's the one you should make you aff link.

2: That's correct. Just like you said without quotes. Also, keep in mind you'll probably have to go through pages and pages. It's a little tedious, but it's well worth it when you find a good one.

3: It completely depends. I've mailed out to a 40k list for $45 before, and others charge more. It really all depends on your negotiation skills.

There are a TON of list owners out there that have no idea how valuable their list is. Those are the types that you want to come across.

4: I would try to aim for a $50 test budget. Because in a lot of cases, that's just one sale in clickbank. But if there's someone that has 80k people on their list, and you can see that their site looks legit and everything, there's a good chance you're gonna bank.

I wish I had something more scientific here, but it really just comes from experience.

Like, there's this one list I can across that costs $2500 for a mailing, but it was a 200k + list. I know that my product converts really well, so I decided to do it.

Two days later, it brought in $6500 for an after refund profit of about $2500 -- Took no more than 2 hours.

It's this easy-to-use software. But I would recommend just looking around for a squeeze that you like, and just rip it off.

This does tend to do better in markets where it's more of a hobby situation.

But not always. There's always the opportunity for promotions to similar markets.

Like, in clickbank, there's a really solid yeast infection cure offer.

Now, I doubt you're going to find any newsletters on yeast infection. (i guess you never know)

But the kinds of lists you could look for that would work are:

• mothering
• womens shopping
• feminist lists
• etc, you get the idea.

As for the follow up promo's, it's usually good to tie them in with some current issue.

For exampe: in the make money niche, if there's a new bailout or something, you can always tie that in.

Or, to the yeast infection one, let's say it's the beginning of the school year, or start of summer or whatever, your followups could be like "with all of the commotion and fun things to do during the summer, the last thing you want to worry about is.. blah blah blah ... make sure to eliminate this from your like with ABD PRoduct! You know. Casual is better.

Basically, when someone opts into your list, you always want to come across as some sort of skillful insider.

It's a pretty stable amount, because I can keep mailing to the different lists I've built.

On the low end it's 20k. But with the product launches I do, and when there are really good new products to promote, I've had much much higher months.

But what I'm really looking for is a way to combine the two. (blackhat and listbuilding that is)

Yeah, it's really important to find lists that are sort of "untapped".

That's why I was saying that it's best if you can find ones that don't even have advertising rates posted.

It also has a lo to do with how the ad is written. The more casual and "real" sounding, the better.

i knew that once i read the part about getting in touch with website owners.

never underestimate the power of directly contacting website owners and asking to either advertise on their site or their newsletter. If you know a site gets a ton of targeted traffic to something you're selling. it never hurts really.

Yeah, for sure. They've already done all the hard work. They've already done really crazy SEO.

You're paying a really small amount to reap the benefits of all their work.

The people that are on the newsletters are the right types of visitors. They're the people that are interested enough to enter in their emails, which means that they're more likely to buy something.

As for the CPA offers, they work great. You can also keep promoting them to the list as well.
