OK, black hatters. The gauntlet has been thrown down. The Mrs and I had a long talk last night about all the time I've spent on the computer over the last 9 months.

You see, my 'day job' is in an industry that currently sucks, so I'm determined to 'make it' online...and I'm closer than ever.

SHE, however, wants me to get another J-O-B.

After countless heated discussions over the last 3 months about it, here is what I have decided....

I WILL be in a position to quit my JOB 30 days from today. If not, I will begin looking for another JOB.

I know I'm close. The question is, can I go from what I'm making now to $200 - $300 per day in a matter of 30 days.

You're damn right I can...and I will.

July 20th is the date. Mark your calendars, call your family, set a reminder in Outlook, releease the hounds, whatever.

If and when I do it, I'll help some of you all do it too.

I'm willing to chip in for a domain name and I can put it on my hosting account if you want...but with only 30 days to spare, I don't have time to design something, customize it, SEO it, etc.

I've got to focus on the things that are making me money.

As stated in the previous thread, blackhatzen will help out with on-page and off-page SEO and would be really happy to work with whoever else is interested in helping MontyzPython reach his goals. Truthfully, it varies. Some days it's $10. Some days it's $0. Some days it's $50. Best day was a lot more, but it only happened once or twice.

So my goal is two-fold...

1) Generate a STEADY level of income.

2) That income must come from multiple sources and methods. NEVER put all your eggs is one basket.

Anyway, good luck with your goal. I was in the exact same situation 3 months back but I didn't make it online and will be heading back to work my f/t job next Monday.

Hey, viv. I did review that. That is actually going to be a big part of my overall plan, as that system in itself takes advantage of multiple income streams. It's just a matter of tweaking it to suit your own style.

I don't know what will happen either. I can't imagine that I'll be able to focus much on my J-O-B over the next 30 days...lol.

You are on the right path bcoz one thing I learned is that you can't do it alone - I tried and its more difficult than most think. I for one work much better in a team and it looks like you've already got a good team helping you here.

Best of luck and I hope one day when you do make it, you can sell a program here to help others out.

Working on a team can definetly make it easier, though normally finding a team you can trust on the internet is a painstaking and sometimes hopeless cause lol. Though I doubt it will be that way for Monty.

That is a great series. Funny, that's actually what got me on this track about 9 months ago.

Weren't you supposed to make much more just from that program alone?

Yes, barsha, but this course of action will force me to face my own worst enemy...my attention span.

Yes, the program you mentioned is awesome. In order to make money with it, though, I must stick to it and not hit the "New Posts" button every 2 hours to see what great tactic I can employ next.

Like most of us, I am guilty of hopping from thing to thing, downloading e-books and programs and saying "I will have to read that tomorrow"...or the next day, or the next day.

So this is a challenge to myself to put to use all the tools I have acquired over the last 9 months (especially the last 2 months, really) and STICK WITH THE PROGRAM.

I know it might sound easy, "Hey, Chris, just stick with Domination, make a pile of money, then just quit your job."

But we're talking about me, my wife, my three kids, and then suddenly not having my awesome work health benefits, my automatic 401K contributions...it's some pretty scary shit if you stop and think about it too long.

It's about focus and it's about overcoming your fear.

Two quotes spring to mind...

1) "Failure is not an option."

2) "Do....or do not....there is no 'try'."

LOL, thanks for the props Monty. I have to admit, it was a scary decision to quit a very well paying job to work in IM full time. But I can honestly say that I could never achieve the level of success I desire if I had not quit. Quitting really forced my hand to make this work. Is that a good decision for everyone? Well probably not, especially when you have a family to think about. But you will eventually feel the level of security that will let you know it is time to quit. As far as health insurance and 401k, eehh who will need it when you are making a couple grand a day at least.

So, in less than 16 hours, the site has been indexed and is currently #1 on Google for the term "day job countdown." No major feat, but still pretty cool.

Watching with interest.

Sorry I don't have any skills to offer to help, this stuff is all fairly new to me. But I could maybe make a program for you if you could think of something that would fit in with the site, and submit it to download sites to generate traffic and backlinks.
