Re: Message to ALL beginners trying to "make money online"
There's not much for me to add that the OP and other contributors haven't already said....except for one extra hint for people just starting out. Even workable methods that you'll find on this forum (or any forum) are missing something. Something vital. Imagine having the keys to a brand new Ferrari but NO GAS. It won't matter what the performance specs are, because that car's going nowhere.
Catch my drift?
You have to "add the gas" to each and every method to turn a profit and then like others have already said, work your ass off to get and increase your razor-thin edge.
- Sometimes the "gas" is to add a blackhat tactic to a method.
- Sometimes the "gas" is to simplify a method by removing something.
- Sometimes the "gas" is to use a method in an area no one thought of before.
Following someone else's blueprint like a monkey will never make you any serious dough. You gotta "Add the gas" yourself.
BOTTOM LINE: If you're still waiting for someone else to tell you what to do and how to do it......YOU'RE STILL THINKING LIKE AN EMPLOYEE!
You have to think like a BOSS to thrive.

I have to disagree - folks may not hold your hand on things (some might, the majority wouldn't... and, truth be told, it's foolish to do so), but as far as going into the general workings of plan, I think a lot of people don't have a problem answering questions based on their experience and then expounding with tips and things to be cautious of.
Quite frankly, it's common to see people sharing something like "I use PPC to generate traffic to my micro niche sites". The details of how they go about it though, don't often get relayed. BUT, they shouldn't because in IM we don't learn by following maps and blueprints, we learn by doing, failing, then getting back up and doing something else.
The keyword here is "doing". And seeing possible directions DOES help when you're a newbie starting out and willing to put in the work. But yeah, folks aren't going to help you with the execution part.

Re: Message to ALL beginners trying to "make money online"
thanks! pretty useful post. kind of a downer, but when arent cold hard facts! i have read, as a noob, tons of 'how to posts' and they are even way to advanced for true noobs. most of the people who need a how to, need the details!
personally i have been hoping to find post with DETAILED instructions on how someone had a successful campaign THAT IS OUT DATED OR SATURATED with detailed instructions. that way, i can get the gist of it and take it on my own from there. but that even hasnt even been very possible and i have put in tons of hours over the last few months.

Hey guys,
I am writing a book about making money online/internet marketing/bullshit. An actual book, not a shitty ebook.
When it is complete I would like to offer a copy at a substantial discount to everyone who has contributed in this thread.
The book will also be available on amazon.com so if you want to sell it as an affiliate that's cool, too.
More details later.

Will it be an investigative type book like the book SHAM(not a very good book but you get my point)? or is this a book that will teach people IM?

Irony would be if I was selling a method.
HAY GUIZE I MAKE $5,000 PER DAY WORKING ONLY 10 MINUTES A WEEK, BUY THIS BOOK FOR $27 TO LEARN HOW YOU CAN DO IT, TOO! (cuz you know, since I already make $5,000 per day, I really need to make an extra $27 by selling books...)
This thread has only scratched the surface of what really goes on in the IM world.

Re: Message to ALL beginners trying to "make money online"
More like, "I make $5,000 a day working 10 minutes a week. Buy my eBook." You buy the eBook and open it up and it says, "Thank you for buying my eBook. By selling this book to people like you, I make $5k a day. Enjoy." The 10 minutes of work each week comes by checking your sales stats and transferring your money from PayPal to your real account.

Sure there are many scams... But
I have also found many great educational ebooks that opened my eyes to something I had no idea existed ... and from there on I keep on learning...
...besides the internet is an ever evolving organism where its players continually have to learn and adapt to new mechanisms in order to keep going in this business...
just grab what is useful to you...

Re: Message to ALL beginners trying to "make money online"
It's not just noobs who think they're getting 18K gold with flawless diamonds, when in reality what they're really getting is base metal with glued-on sequins! Much smarter, sophisticated investors fell for the allure that Bernie Madoff's scam offered, and they weren't noobs!
Sure they thought it was too good to be true, but they convinced themselves that a low risk, high return method of making money without doing much could work and they were willing to take that risk. It's the same things noobs experience buying the next great ebook. They think it will solve all their problems, and in fact, that's exactly how it was sold!
There is a euphoria that comes with being offered an easy way to make money! It's exciting so they want to believe it. The seller puts you in ether with his sales page, and you buy the dream, thinking...YES, this could definitely work and make me dumptruck loads of money! When it doesn't, they continue to look for the same thing that excited them before, which was greed and the lazy way to wealth.
The psychology that makes all that work is that their dream is rewarded by that state of euphoria so they keep repeating the same mistake. They think "the other deal didn't work, but this next one will, without finding out why they failed!" It's a vicious circle of failure caused by marketing deception, that the buyer wants desperately to believe.
For too many, it takes a long time for reality to catch up. I couldn't agree with the author of this thread more. It takes hard work to create your own process of building what works, and many people here have generously helped others. Nobody's going to spoon feed you everything you need. But I think it's a good place to start.......

Well it is exposing the self help industry so he says(hence it goes into people peddling "how to" products. If you can get it from the library or buy it off amazon used. I am sure you can get for $5 or something cheap.

Re: Message to ALL beginners trying to "make money online"
Good post..
I personally mostly do SEO; it takes time but it makes solid monthly income. Not rich, but alright.
I can also add, that you can find your own value in shitty threads as well. Sometimes I go through a scammy thread and learn somethings as well. it is a matter of how you screen as well.
Most important - Don't get overloaded with info. I guarantee that there are many people making more money with less knowledge than most of the people here.
You need to know what you are good at. Most clickbank "gurus" are good liars; so they make money selling fake dreams.

Re: Message to ALL beginners trying to "make money online"
Well, this is my first post on BlackHatWorld. After reading this post, I had to sign up.
I am going to have to say, I have fallen for a few of these online scams to make money online. A few years ago, I was able to wake up in the morning, check my stats and email and go play guitar hero all day long. This was back when I was clearing $6k a month from my websites. Since everyone and their pets now have websites and everyone is taking someone else's ideas, the internet market is jacked up! Traffic started going down, which in turn cause my income to drop tremendously. With me knowing I could make that much money online, I tried a few of these "make money online" scams. They never work. Now as a work at home dad, I struggle to compete with other mom and pop websites out there. I basically work on the computer from the time I get up, till the time I go to bed.
The only way to truely make legit money online is bust your tail and come up with a great idea that is different or better than someone else's. Go out and promote it and hope for the best. This is what got me my 6k a month back in the day.

Re: Message to ALL beginners trying to "make money online"
This is a fraction of what you can do online. Actually, eversince the clickbank explosion this is what all the scammers are doing nowadays.
Being a real affiliate takes time, practice, skills and wit. IN CONTRAST TO ALL THE MAKING MONEY ONLINE SCAMS.
Damn.. sometimes I see a "work from home" theme that involves CASINO ROULETTE. just google france for work from home and check it out.

Re: Message to ALL beginners trying to "make money online"
Let me tell you, this post is gold - hats off to mollah for telling it as it is. Unfortunately, post like "follow my moron-proof method to make $100000 an hour with 15 minutes of work" still have 1000s of followers. I do actually make some money online, say approaching about $1000 a month, but I was lucky to stumble upon an unoccupied niche where I can market products paying good commission. And, just like mollah said, it will be a freezing cold day in hell before I tell anyone (maybe except my wife) about any more details. Everything I do is legit and gray hat at worst, no chance of being banned or anything, and it is still a lot of hard work. Forget about making $100000 on Adsense - g00g|e is not retarded - unless you are an owner of a major bonafide website with millions of users a month. But then BHW will be the last place you will discuss your methods...

Re: Message to ALL beginners trying to "make money online"
Lol ... Nice thread ...
Why would anyone sell a technique that can earn $500 per day for $39?
The only reason is that: He's looking to collect a targeted list of people who are interested in IM and then sell them more stuff or make them be an 'affiliate'.
In that way, he can just launch products and mail it to all the affiliates who will work for him ...
MLM in the highest order.
Anyways, to the Thread Starter ... I'm sure you will agree that my post belongs to the 10% of posts that actually isn't bullshit.
