Nice to finally find a forum that seems fit for my interests. I am in highschool (with a mind that might not seem it) and interested in new and not-so conventional ways of making money off my peers. This forum seems to be a place where I can get some ideas from intelligent people.

I want to know ways to hustle highschoolers (I don't mean cheat them- I mean to capitalize on their naive ways and score $$$).

Right now I have a few schemes going. Buying/reselling used video games, ipods, and other electronics; and a few other things. I don't want to deal drugs (obviously because of the legality) but will do similar things, that don't have that legal factor involved (buying/selling cigarettes as an example).

Any ideas?

Anything you do in high school will be considered "soliciting" and you can get suspended for it, but it's no big deal.

I made $20 the other week by accident. There are these drinks I really liked called Arnold Palmer's. The bottles look really cool and all but you can only buy them online in NJ so I bought 3 cases for like 35$ after shipping. I planned on drinking them in school. So the first day i brought one in and immediately there were like 3 people who wanted to try them just because of how the bottle looked, and then me telling them that it was amazing. So i told them 2$. They all loved them and told their friends. Pretty soon I was that kid with the amazing drink. I was getting random people coming to me with 2$ and saying "I want one of those drinks... where can I find you in the morning?" In the end I sold/drank them all(drank most) and ended up with an extra 20$ along with all the "free" drinks I had.

Reminds me... some dumbass kid paid me 1$ every day for 3 weeks while I was on crutches to let him be my "assistant" and leave class with me 5 minutes early. I thought he did it to leave class early. He told me he did it because of the elevator ride to the 2nd floor.... Easiest 15$ ever. He paid me to carry my books

Gum... For some reason people in my school did not mind paying $3 for a pack of gum that would only cost them $1 if they just went to the store.

You'd probably have a better chance of making more money with IM then you would at school. It sounds like you're thinking too small. Why waste your time at school when you can automate shit with IM?

IMHO, you are doing way too much work buying/selling cigs relative to the amount of income it brings in.

But if you're content with it, that's fine too. I'm just saying you probably have a much better chance of making a shit ton of money online than at school.

Candy. Go to costco or other low cost bulk item sellers and buy candy. Resell it for a profit. If you can go as low as 1$ ea then you'll make bank.

I used to sell the Blow-Pop suckers, for $.50, i bought them in bulk for i think $2/lb and got about 30 suckers per lb, man did I make $$$, until someone found my source and started selling them for $.25 then everyone else found out where to get them.

At the local grocery store.

People in highschool pay for convenience, they have disposable cash, and think that paying for things that they themselves dont have to do, is a luxury, capitalize on that.

I used to sell fake ID's in high school... but anyway, this forum isn't really about this sort of hustling as it has a much wider view than one school or region

lol I used to do this in high school with BAWLS Guarana energy drinks. No one knew what BAWLS was back then.

Haha its rly easy to sell to highschool kids... Used to sell tons of stuff but IM gets u way better money.. Well if you are capable of it you can just get some tests and sell the results. In a lot of schools that is rly easy as they keep their tests and results on the school computer and you can log in with just any teachers name and password to get a hold of all tests. However be aware that you can get screwed for that rly badly so if you want to do that make sure to cover up ur ass.

Or go in the not as illegal way and sell them customized cheat things. Like get bottles and print formulas onto a tag like the bottle and put it on it and things like that

Sell pieces of gum for a quarter. At the very least it will pay for your gum.

Ask a bunch of students to use their cell phone quick because yours is dead... then use the phone to make a PVA on craigslist. Just have someone you know stay back home whle you are there and they can be at the computer.

This will eventually dry up but if you could get every person at your school then that is a few thousand $'s right there easily.

Utilize your Facebook or Myspace account and get everyone to do CPA offers, you will probably only be able to exploit it 2 or 3 times before everyone gets fed up, but it will provide seed money for other ventures.

A PVA is a phone verified account that you need to create before posting on craigs list. If you don't know what they are then do some research. You need a new phone number for every PVA to be created. The demand for PVA's is really high right now.. you could get anywhere from $4-$7 easily per PVA. If you don't know how to make them correctly though, make sure you learn.

thats true, i don't wanna turn into that. that's why I don't like the gum/ candy ideas (apart from feeling like im four years old) - because I'd feel like a prick charging people I know $2 for a pack of gum.

brand name watches, glasses, etc are usually really hot in highschools.

Amen to that post. I had too many "friends" that I hadn't heard from for a while after college, only to have them reach out, you know just to catch up and, oh yeah, try to recruit me for some multi-level marketing gig. You don't wan to be "that guy".

You are off to a good start, already in the entrepreneurial spirit. Don't go the candy route though, sure you can make some money, but that time is better spent scheming and plotting ways to make money online.

When you get home, finish your homework, and read this forum. This forum is your number one tool. Pretty much anything you need to know is already here, you just need to find it. If you can't find it here, google it and you'll find it. When you are just starting out, you must be a sponge.

Soak in everything, and when you have the gist, try something out. Doesn't matter if your first few ventures don't work out (they seldom do), try em anyways. Every failure is simply a step closer to success. If you fail, just learn from it, tweak it, and try again.

If you find something that makes you $3 a day, scale it up. Multiply your efforts by 20, and turn that $3 a day into $60 a day. The only limits are the one's you present yourself with.

Here is a sure fire method... if some of my words are misspelled its due to the alcoholic beverages. Anyways within every school there are soda machines that sell drinks for between $1 and $1.50. So go to your local store and find the same drinks and you will see that you can buy a 6 pack for about $3.50 or so. Well then go to school with those drinks "cold" in a cooling pack or some sort of thing that will keep them cool. Sell them for the low at $1 a piece and within a day you just made your first $3 with that easy hustle.
