I've been thinking of making 20 squeeze page websites on different niche but debating if I should make 20 blogs from Google instead. Since I can place Adsense, gadgets, etc and it's from google, it'll be more SEO friendly and easier index.

If I host 10 website on the same share server, I'll have the same IP address along with all my 'shared' accounts in that server unless I'm using VPS, so there is no difference for SEO benefits.

Seriously, with millions of domain name, I don't remember more than 20 of all the sites I'd ever visited. Not to mention that most search engines only includes the domain name as part of the search and not entirely of it, therefore a unique domain name is not that important to me.

I know that owning your own website you'll have the benefit of:
1) a unique domain name.
2) high customizable.
3) Can contain scripts, etc.

Can you guys tell me which is better, a website or a blog and why?
