Re: The Niche Guide - Intro & Part 1 (Finding A Niche)
Great info for anyone starting out! I more or less stumbled into my niche, and it happens to be something i REALLY enjoy and have lots of experience in. Therefore, making it a natural transition for me to do with IM. Also, tackling a niche you're familiar with makes it easier to design, develop and write about. At least that's what has helped me be and stay successful. Plus, it's fun beating the crap out of my 'corporate' competitors. I'm faster, smarter and more flexible than they ever could be

Btw there's this guy "Dr." Jay Sherbondy that plagiarized this post among others and used it in his trafficmasters.tv seminar (the doc name is "Master Blueprint.pdf" FYI).

Re: The Niche Guide - Intro & Part 1 (Finding A Niche)
Thanks for the all the links this should help me more than just Google keywords tool. I was looking at a traffic spy website before that shows the amount of money that your competitors are spending on adwords, organic, and the keywords use. etc. It was called something "fusion" I can't remember the website and cant find it anymore. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Re: The Niche Guide - Intro & Part 1 (Finding A Niche)
hi all:
i have found ebay useful for finding in demand niche products.
pulse
and also
popular
I can not paste links. just google ebay pulse to find the first location and find the popular search items lower on the page.
I identify popular niches. then actually drill down to the listings pages and browse auction and bid activity. if you start to see bidding wars on a certain product niche, it indicates there is high demand.

Re: The Niche Guide - Intro & Part 1 (Finding A Niche)
When you find your niche..and you google it .... do you want a lot of adwords to show up or do you want none?
I know that seems like a stupid question, but if you were to do a blog about sometihng that has a lot of adwords then you would have more of a chance to gain revenue off adsense right? But if you were to do a blog with few adwords your blog or site would have more of a chance of getting visits?

I think you want to see a lot of adwords ads, so you can definitely track which keyword verbiage is actually converting. If you save the page with the ads from today's search, then check it 1-2 more times over 7-10 days and see some of the same ones, those should be ones containing the profitable keywords for that niche. Now you know how to word your ads, with slight adjustments.
