ok so as the title says, this is my first go at running a JV, heck i dont even know if this is really a JV as it doesnt require any upfront capital from you if your interested.

Basically i run a UK based SEO Agency (there are currently 3 of us who work full time for the business), we deal with SEO, PPC, Web Design, Consulting and Training courses.

Our clients are split roughly 80% UK, 15% US and 5% Europe

We are looking for people who speak good English who we can train up on our services and who can via telesales sell our services to business's.

This is where i need your advice on this "JV", i need to know that what we are offering to the people who take up this offer is a good deal for them, as to me it seems great, but as the people will need to make the calls themselves on their time and their call cost i just want to make sure.

All money earnt will be in the form of commission.
Payment will be at persons choice out of either direct debit, cheque, paypal or money transfer.

Here is how the commission is calculated.

If one of your calls decides to take one of our services you recieve the full 100% value of that contract for the first month, and for every other month they stay with us you recieve 30% and thats each and every month.

Here is an example:

Our middle SEO Service is £395 per month - so say that this service is ordered and kept with for 12 months below is the money you will recieve.

Month 1: £395
Month 2 - 12 : £118.5 per month

Total for year for you to be paid is £1698.5

Payments will be made to you in first week of each month.

So how many people do you think you can get signed up each day? Week? even if its 1 a month you still would earn a nice amount.

Is there a minimum contract length the client has to sign up for?

What are the price points of the other seo packages you offer and what do they include?

Do you provide commission for sales of your other services?

How comprehensive is the training and can it be completed online?

Seems like a fair offering. How many sales do you predict with a good telemarketer?

There is no minimum contract length, if the client only stays for 1 month then you get 100% and we get 0. Its something we have thought about but hoenstly believe our service will show the results to keep them staying on.

We currently do not provide the commision on any of our other services with the exception of PPC management, i.e our backlinks services (which are just basic backlinks are very cheap but we only want to target real business / people who want proper SEO packages.

The training is not online, however it is set as a download so you can download and view all the resources, it includes a point by point breakdown of the different SEO packages on offer, it includes your ideal target audiences and stages you should go through in selling the service.

With a good telemarketer who fully understands the product that they are promoting, i would expect 1 in every 15 phone calls to result in a lead of some sort - i.e them getting in contact to ask for more info (dont worry on this, it will still be credited to you) and from that i would estimate 50% would decide to take on 1 of our services.


There are 3 main price points and packages (we can tailor it after speaking to client however would rather just push the 3 main products - less confusion for the client.

What methods do you ue? How succesful are you with ranking clients? Do you do google places and what do you charge? How robust is the training and is it white hat training? Can it be white labeled?what do you charge for th training modules?

Forgive the not answering certain questions intentionally, i can answer those ones via pm if you would like.

We are pretty successfull with ranking clients, and as the average time that clients use our services are 14 months we obviously do enough to make them see the true value of the service they are getting

Yes we do Google Places, thats one of the first things we do as its amazing how many business's dont have that set up, and its very straight forward but just takes time for the document to come through the mail.

The training services we offer is split into 2 sections with regards to SEO. Its split into basic and advanced (basic stuff is like your meta tags, h tags, basic onsite stuff, and your advanced focuses partly on factors that affect Page Rank, whilst not actually focusing on gaining page rank - but the factors that influence that are important, caniconical links, 301's and other stuff.

We have twice provided a white label training course / program for 2 UK based companies. Between them they had 7 people who wanted to do the training so it was more tailored towards their own sites using examples from their current site - we find that works alot better with them relating to the training.
