I would start out with some of the stickied threads in each category. Some of the admins/mods and senior members have put together some great "how to" posts which usually end up stickied.

Don't get me wrong, I love it here. There's incredibly useful information here. But 99% of people, myself included, do not have the discipline necessary to avoid all the pretty shiny "newest methods" out there and get distracted into never making a profit.

Until you make a profit don't download ANYTHING after the 4 hour mark.
Until you make a profit don't try any new methods.
Until you make a profit don't buy anything other than hosting and domains (this includes nifty scripts and time saving software; you don't NEED to save time right now. You need to learn how to do shit manually so that when your software goes KERFLOOEY! you're smart enough to recognize it before you get eaten alive and lose all your hard earned profits.)
Until you make a profit: DON'T. GIVE. UP.
I made two tiny mental changes that led to me actually beginning to make money.
1) I decided I was going to make my living doing this if it took me until the day I die. I will never give up. Period. This mindset makes me much more relaxed about each individual failure and heartbreak. It's just education, not failure.
2) I decided to intentionally fuck up a few times. Launch campaigns and sites that I KNEW either weren't ready or would get me slapped/banned. This boils down to face your fears by jumping into the snake pit. I'll put together a graphic one day showing my income as it directly relates to doing what you're afraid to do. Might be helpful for other giant wishy washy pussies like me.

thanks scubaslick i like your attitude - good boost to my moral. My friends call me Naction (i know boyband reinvented) and I have always ended up in the snake pit because of it. At least we have stories to tell.
