These reviews are really bad. I was thinking of getting a hosting package from them. But after reading the reviews I think I am better off somewhere else.

YOu retarded? RMXHost is the best thing I've ever met. They sometimes have a short downtime but this time it is a Ddos attack. Just wait. I have 10 Websites at Rmxhost

They are a good host and the support is really good. You cannot help with these DDOS attacks. Its someone with a grudge. They can't help it like any other host.

It's been down twice for me, long enough that I can't get up my website the way I need to. I'm only on the shared until I can get enough money to buy out a dedicated, which wouldn't grab as much downtime, I assume. Although I do think long downtimes should be compensated to the customer somehow (such as a month free or %50 off or some kind of reward for their packages). DDoS can't be helped, though, with host that allows everything on it just abouts. I just think customers shouldn't be out money because of these attacks (paying for time online they simply can't use) if they're not the ones provoking them. That'd make excellent customer service~. I'm staying with RMX for now. They're the cheapest I've found for what's allowed. Just hope they get things under control. Maybe put up more security in a way? I'm not a computer engineer so not sure exactly what can be done to lessen the blow.

DO NOT USE RMXHOST! I can't stress this enough. Aside from being down all the time, THEY DO NOT IGNORE DMCA! I was personally told by them that my websites were okay and that DMCA doesn't matter. Then my website goes down for days with no explanation, and then after investigating they realized their server company took down the site because of a DMCA request lol. On top of that, they made me pay a huge fee to get it up so I can get a back-up! what a crock of shi*t! As of now, my website is still down, even though I paid their "hostage" fee.... I will update the thread once they respond(if they ever do)!

Now that scares me a bit. Putting aside the down times (which I thought were temporary), I definitely have to have a host that ignores DMCA at least. Do you have a good host that you can recommend then, jakeman24?

What do you expect when you are offering offshore BH hosting. A lot of people jump in and start doing some serious BH stuff some more then others but then the attacks happen and voila service sucks. Happens all the time here on bhw, when the service is just introduced everything works and people start joining and it goes to sh!t. Look at extrawinner i believe his username is, offered a great sevice offshore, no dmca etc weeks later some people f ucked it up for the rest.

Your site was brought down by a court request, not by anything DMCA related. It's now on a different network, though. We can ignore DMCA, but court judgements is a different thing. We're just protecting ourselves, like we're protecting you - not giving out ANY info. Period.

We're perfectly fine with offering a compensation for anyone affected by extended downtimes. Please open a support ticket so we know who are you, and we'll apply a free month for you.

Also, we're always investing in security, but due to the low prices we offer, the profit is just not high enough to buy high-end protection hardware. During the last attack just days ago, we were forced to get an emergency solution set up, which cost us more than $10,000 and sleepless nights for our staff. We're just looking to make the service better, and we know there always are going to be haters who would try to disrupt our operations for one reason or another.

Thanks for replying on this thread after i mentioned it. This service is very reliable and like i mentioned earlier in the thread no host can completely protect against downtimes not even cloudflare.

The downtimes are no problem for me at this point (as stated in my last replies). The user claiming that DMCA were not ignored, is another matter. Now that that's cleared up I feel a little better, as my sites are smaller contained sites (just a little fanbase for now~) for the one I'll be hosting warez and such on. I was simply giving a remedy/solution to compensate for majour downtimes for those complaining about them or to those who suffer a great loss as a result. RMX gives pretty good support IMO. Maybe not the best, but a far cry better at responding to users than that of majour hosting companies like BlueHost (from my experience, they were TERRIBLE). So far even with the kinks, this has been the best support for the cheapest price of a host I've hosted with. Just crossing fingers that income comes in for some better security that can be put in place for things like DDoS, which are inevitable with this sort of host.

Day 3, improved uptime, far fewer problems. So far, not bad.

RMX, hey I'm thinking of switching to your service because of needs for certain hosting (particularly using a program that streams TV shows offered via CPA Blaster and though its not directly hosted programming DCMA is a concern). Do you have any other awesome discount offers coming up? I had just missed the Easter Promos, lol, just my luck.

I was thinking of trying the Scrapebox VPS with Windows XP to run licensed copies of Magic Submitter, Social Hub Submitter, SENuke XCR etc that just tie my PC up. But for now I think something along the lines for the Elite hosting that was $5.99 would be more comfortable for me to test your services first and try the web hosting; if that's fine I would have no problem paying your higher, though very affordable rates in the future for Windows VPS or the Scrapebox VPS. RMX, please check the tickets, we are losing thousands of euro's and today was over 7 hours downtime and no response. All data is gone now it's up again (backup from over a week ago). Simon

Hi I'm currently searching for a good host that offers reseller hosting. Need one that has DMCA Ignored. Everything is off site linking for clients and only need a basic reseller account, but it needs to be quick and reliable. I have a main host that I have worked with for nearly 4 years now, but need a 2nd one for a backup and for these types of sites. I work a lot with joomla, wordpress, and a number of popular forum software.

Currently testing Dhruva hosting, but it has a lot of issues, especially being slow for just basic cpanel account functions. One day it took 15 minutes to restore a 156k database, not good especially for joomla users. Sometimes its good sometimes its not and that's only after 5 days. After years of with my main host, I can tell a good one from a bad one in a few minutes. Sure there are always problems to Iron out, but after trying for the last 8 months and going through 6 bad hosts I am trying to decide if a VPS would be the better option if I can find a good place.

Any suggestions would be helpful..
